The HIV Department of the Global Heath and Population Business Unit seeks to reduce new HIV infections and improve the health of those living with, and affected by, HIV through global and bilateral programs. Through these programs, we provide strategic technical assistance and direct service delivery to improve HIV case-finding, prevention, care and treatment programming, and viral load suppression among key and priority populations. We work in partnership with and strengthen the capacity of governments, civil society organizations (CSOs), other PEPFAR implementing partners, and the private sector to introduce innovations and expand evidence-based HIV services to accelerate progress toward epidemic control.

Job Summary:
Provides final authorization and approval of the technical portions of proposals and project design, based on the design and direction set by technical leadership. Contributes to new business development initiatives including project design, budgeting, and recruitment efforts.

Technical Officers (Level I III) provide a range of technical and administrative services at increasing levels of complexity to support project implementation and proposal development. Individuals within these positions are expected to demonstrate an increasing level of proficiency with the specific relevant technical area.

The Technical Officer will support a new Unit within the HIV Department called Program Optimization and Strategic Growth, which includes four strategic growth portfolios: 1) telehealth, 2) local partner capacity development, 3) mental health, and 4) LGBTI rights and inclusion. These portfolios represent important crosscutting and HIV-adjacent technical approaches for FHI 360. The Technical Officer will support the scale-up and integration of these technical approaches within FHI 360’s HIV and other global health and population projects including the PEFPAR- and USAID-funded Meeting Target and Maintaining Epidemic Control (EpiC) project and other projects managed by the Going Online (telehealth) team.

The Technical Officer will be responsible for collating inputs to all technical deliverables at the global level, supporting country programs on their implementation of technical approaches within each growth portfolio, assisting in technical thought leadership and communication and strengthening the facilitation of global knowledge sharing through an applied knowledge of the four technical areas. The technical officer may also provide administrative support to the broader Program Optimization and Strategic Growth Unit.

Accountabilities:

  • Provides technical support in the development and dissemination of tools, materials, reports, papers, and intervention for research projects.
  • Works closely with assigned team to ensure activities are implemented according to standard operating procedures (SOP’s).

Project/Program Reporting:

  • Maintains database of project indicators and activities.
  • Assists with collecting data for inclusion in client reports.
  • Assists with compiling and creating technical content (e.g., reports, presentations, manuscripts).
  • Assists with publications, web pages, and presentations.
  • Develops or writes technical briefs, reports, or other necessary materials to facilitate, best practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Prepares technical reports and papers summarizing results.

Quality Assurance:

  • Develops broader knowledge of quality standards through formalized system that documents processes, procedures, and responsibilities for achieving quality policies and objectives.
  • Helps coordinate and direct activities to meet client/funder and regulatory requirements.

Telehealth:

  • Provide technical support to EpiC HIV programs in Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cote d’Ivoire, DRC, Mali, Morocco, and Senegal on the use of the Online Reservation and Case Management App (ORA) and virtual demand creation approaches for health services among key populations
  • Provide technical support to FDC (the Global Fund prime recipient in Mozambique) for the introduction and scale-up of virtual HIV interventions for key populations including use of virtual peer outreach, online outreach workers, online and social media marketing, and virtual case management for clients on ART.
  • Support business development efforts with funders interested to support telehealth services and programs

LGBTQI+ Rights and Inclusion:

  • Provide technical support to HIV programs in various global settings to adapt and deploy approaches to protect and promote LGBTQI+ rights
  • Support and track business development effortsto support LGBTQI+ rights and inclusion

Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS):

  • Provide technical support to the EpiC Morocco project on monkeypox, including for design and rollout of mental health services for populations affected by monkeypox; includes supporting mental health provider training and management
  • Support integration of MHPSS services across HIV programs in various global settings
  • Support and track business development efforts related to MHPSS

Local Partner Capacity Development:

  • Provide technical support to EpiC HIV programs in various global settings to adapt and deploy approaches to develop the capacity of local partner organizations to receive direct funding
  • Support business development efforts with funders interested to support local partner capacity development

Applied Knowledge & Skills:

  • Moderate knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures by providing technical support for research studies.

  • Experience supporting community service organizations to use technology to support delivery of health services (e.g., social media marketing, telehealth, virtual case management) preferred.
  • Experience supporting vulnerable communities such as key populations, and LGBTI on safety, security, human rights / inclusion and advocacy preferred.

Position Summary: The Senior Product Designer will lead research, design and prototyping to help build products that facilitate an outstanding customer experience.

60% of time: Improve and own the UX for RoadRUnner’s product pillars: internal we b applications, external web and mobile applications (mostly internal web applications)

25% Contribute to design system

15% Collaborate with designers and cross functional teams

Requirements:

    • Job Responsibilities:
    • Experience building products, developing component-based design systems and adapting brand guidelines to create scalable systems across products.
    • Employ design thinking to translate insights into detailed user journey maps and experience flows that inform future enhancements
    • Architect experiences based on customer and business requirements that come to life through detailed wireframes, mockups, and flows that can be delivered by technology team
    • Leverage qualitative and quantitative data to develop beyond the obvious customer and experience insights on bottlenecks and enablers to delivering great User Experiences that drive customer behavior
    • Work across technical and non-technical teams to ensure initiative requirements meet experience imperatives; serve as a resource to those teams as they work through user flows and experience designs
    • Identify and set product strategy, envision complex UX ecosystems, and inspire product teams to push the boundaries of what’s possible
    • Proactively identify requirements and / or feature gaps within new and ongoing initiatives across departments; put forth actionable solutions and designs that address stated experience concerns and meet business / financial requirements
    • Plan and facilitate design thinking workshops with cross functional partners to better understand needs and experiences to achieve business results
    • Necessary Skills
    • FIGMA or similar tool required (FIGMA is highly preferred)
    • Strong understanding of human interaction design (able to design websites the human psychology like human psychology)
    • Comfort with ambiguity, ability to act without having the whole picture using sound judgment and strong decision-making skills.
    • Strategic thinker with the ability to grasp the tactical details.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills is dynamic, and can capture a group’s interest and maintain it as well as the ability to facilitate meetings with diverse and sometimes conflicting points of view.
    • Proven ability to organize/manage multiple priorities coupled with the flexibility to quickly adapt to ever changing business needs.
    • Strong analytical and problem solving. Solid decision making in a timely manner.

THE PURPOSE:

As a Senior Product Manager at Slickdeals you help 12M monthly shoppers find the best products and prices that enable them to live their best lives. In the Extension & Rewards group, you will work alongside other PM’s, designers, data scientists, and 3 development pods (one internal and 2 offshore) to help the products scale in a stable and aggressive way. You will work to understand the systems and how they relate to each other in a technical way so that you can help us build shopper facing experiences that help them win. Extension and Rewards are growing fast in a competitive market and we need someone who can help us reach our goals.

THE ROLE:

  • Care passionately about every step of each shopper’s journey.
  • Work with architecture to formulate and prioritize concepts, improvements, and new features while helping to determine next steps for architecture and engineering based on agreed upon priorities
  • Ability to understand detailed databases and how they interact with the overall code architecture
  • Must be able to think critically about engineering steps and assist the engineering team with creating technical next steps
  • Record and prioritize technical feedback from internal stakeholders (e.g. Product Operations, Accounting/Finance, Business Intelligence, other teams) and the ability to apply feedback to the product
  • Strong proficiency in understanding APIs and how they interact with overall systems
  • Ability to work across multiple teams and negotiate needs with other areas of the business
  • Understanding of how to pivot when necessary and which resources need to be moved around as a result
  • Ability to conceive, write requirements for, launch, and analyze A/B tests to gain fast learnings
  • Exude strong product sense, execution, and leadership skills.
  • Constantly evaluate how well products serve goals. Identify elements that contribute or detract. Find opportunities to better serve the goals.
  • Make clear strategic decisions that promote well-defined, timely product releases.
  • Communicate and get buy-in on those decisions with Product Managers, engineering teams, and other business stakeholders to ensure coordination and completion of responsible products.
  • Define roadmaps, plan execution of, and deliver innovative consumer products for Slickdeals.
  • Communicate product strategy across all levels of the organization.
  • Understand consumer behaviors and needs through research, internal and third-party analytics, and direct interactions with users.
  • Develop new products and deliver enhancements to existing products that differentiate Slickdeals from the competition.
  • Work closely with Design, Engineering, Content, Marketing, and Business Development teams to manage and ultimately release new or updated product features.
  • Ensure timely delivery of projects through proper planning, scheduling, leadership, and execution.
  • Analyze and act on business metrics and data to grow the business.
  • Be the central hub of communication and facilitate collaboration across all parts of the business related to a product.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

THE CANDIDATE:

  • Ability to see signals in the noise of your quantitative and qualitative research.
  • Created products and features for millions of users following a path of research, ideation, building, measuring, learning, and iterating.
  • Experience defining strategy and creating product roadmaps for new features, and communicating those decisions to stakeholders and business owners at all levels.
  • Ability to write clear and concise requirements and other documentation for initiatives both large and small.
  • Experience designing simple and intuitive user interfaces, with an ability to create examples through wireframes.
  • Familiarity with multivariate testing and analysis.
  • Great process and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to understand the technology behind products.
  • Excellent verbal and written business communication skills.
  • Proficiency in analytical thinking and problem solving.
  • Highly self-directed and self-motivated.
  • Demonstrated improvement on KPIs via product releases.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience developing e-commerce products, technologies, and platforms is strongly desired.
  • Ability to quickly learn affiliate marketing processes and how they relate to overall revenue for the company
  • Loyalty/Rewards programs experience
  • Browser Extension experience preferred
  • Ability to execute SQL queries and modify existing SQL to run appropriate ad-hoc reports preferred
  • Strong ability with Excel / Google Sheets for data summarization and analysis
  • Track record defining and delivering innovative software products.
  • Experience designing user interfaces and performing user research.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills with strong technical abilities.
  • Understanding of project management methodologies; Agile, Lean, Scrum.
  • Comfortable communicating technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience using project delivery software and ticketing systems such as JIRA.
  • Experience using insights, reporting, and analytics tools like Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Tableau, Lookback, and Hotjar.
  • Mobile application development experience with scaled iOS and Android applications.
  • Ability to understand technical architecture diagrams and process flows
  • Experience generating and tracking critical metrics for mobile products.
