Position Overview
The Data Conversion Analyst supports OCHIN’s mission by helping our new members extract data from their previous EHR and ancillary healthcare IT systems, transform the data into new formats, and then import the data into OCHIN’s Epic system. In addition to performing this technical work, the Data Conversion Analyst also uses their interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills to work with various internal and external stakeholders and to drive each project toward completion. You’ll be part of a team that will travel to some of our clinic membership sites and supports the conversion of the data from their current EHR over to OCHIN’s Epic system.
***This is not a general or entry-level data entry position. We are seeking candidates with strong technical knowledge as listed below.
Essential Duties
- Participate in shaping and growing OCHIN’s nascent Data Conversion product line
- Analyzing healthcare data in HL7, CDA, CSV, and SQL formats for extraction, transformation, and import.
- Facilitate meetings with multiple internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, identify data conversion needs, provide ongoing updates, and ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Participate in informal internal training as part of ongoing team improvement.
- Develop and update technical and business process documentation for data conversions (internal and customer-facing)
- Performing data conversions including extracting healthcare data from non-Epic EHR systems, performing transformations upon the data, and importing it into OCHIN Epic.
- Approach the work as a Technical Analyst on data conversion projects and be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Provide quality assurance on data conversion work.
- Coming up with brilliant solutions to analytical challenges.
- The ability to travel to Clinic locations across the U.S. on an as-needed basis to meet with clients understand their Data Conversion needs and upport the conversion work.
- Participate in internal process improvement projects.
- Assist with additional Interface projects as assigned.
- Performed other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, or a similar field required. Equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience may meet this requirement.
- Minimum of 2- years of experience working with healthcare data preferably in Epic
- Minimum of 2- years of experience working with EHRs/EMRs.
- Minimum one year Working knowledge of the HL7 standard is required.
- Minimum of one years Experience with Mirth or another interface engine is required.
- Strong technical proficiency with JavaScript, SQL, and Epic products
- Certified in Epic Bridges preferred or ability to obtain in the first 6- months of hire
Additional Qualifications:
- Knowledge of data transformations from any industry.
- Experience with Epic conversions and DBA skills are a plus
- Troubleshooting and documenting skills.
- Able to learn in a self-directed, fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.

About the Role:
An Architect II at Madison Logic will operate as the leader of a team of engineers, working closely with product representatives as well as key stakeholders to design, implement, architect and support new and existing technical solutions in the Mar-Tech industry. You will evaluate technical decisions within the context of the larger projects, application stacks and environments. Furthermore, an Architect II must be willing and able to mentor other engineers of all levels of ability within the Madison Logic team, while also being mentored by Senior Leadership. You will be responsible for being a driving force on a team that is building and maintaining a best in breed application stack, from User interface front-end, to data driven APIs on the back-end. Your goal is to ensure the proper flow and functionality of business systems and ensure both pre-launch and post-launch pacing and success of implementations. Your contributions will ensure that our platform is both cutting-edge and easy to use.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and architect the structure of technology solutions and Core Libraries
- Design in Modular format to allow for easy assembly for different project needs.
- Develop a roadmap and act as a project manager for solution implementation which details resource needs, schedules, and milestones
- Ensure team pacing adheres to scheduled goals
- Ship high quality solutions quickly
- Communicate system requirements to software development teams
- Oversee assigned programs (e.g. conduct code review) and provide guidance to team members
- Ensure timely implementation of agreed architecture and infrastructure
- Monitor systems post-launch to measure success and ensure that both user needs and business objectives are met

Basic Qualifications:
