About the Role:

An Architect II at Madison Logic will operate as the leader of a team of engineers, working closely with product representatives as well as key stakeholders to design, implement, architect and support new and existing technical solutions in the Mar-Tech industry. You will evaluate technical decisions within the context of the larger projects, application stacks and environments. Furthermore, an Architect II must be willing and able to mentor other engineers of all levels of ability within the Madison Logic team, while also being mentored by Senior Leadership. You will be responsible for being a driving force on a team that is building and maintaining a best in breed application stack, from User interface front-end, to data driven APIs on the back-end. Your goal is to ensure the proper flow and functionality of business systems and ensure both pre-launch and post-launch pacing and success of implementations. Your contributions will ensure that our platform is both cutting-edge and easy to use.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and architect the structure of technology solutions and Core Libraries
  • Design in Modular format to allow for easy assembly for different project needs.
  • Develop a roadmap and act as a project manager for solution implementation which details resource needs, schedules, and milestones
  • Ensure team pacing adheres to scheduled goals
  • Ship high quality solutions quickly
  • Communicate system requirements to software development teams
  • Oversee assigned programs (e.g. conduct code review) and provide guidance to team members
  • Ensure timely implementation of agreed architecture and infrastructure
  • Monitor systems post-launch to measure success and ensure that both user needs and business objectives are met
  • Use computer models to test bandwidth and other features post-launch
  • Act as the primary point of contact for technical questions
  • Effectively troubleshoot production issues and diagnose root causes
  • Lead code reviews to ensure high-quality team output
  • Mentor senior/junior developers
  • Identify and evaluate promising new technologies, articulate their value, suggest integration methods and assist with adoption
  • Standardize logging, monitoring, and utility libraries to eliminate replication of code among projects
  • Develop technical solutions that improve scalability, performance and profit
  • Design and build working full-stack applications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor‘s degree plus 6+yrs experience as a technical architect/lead or 8+yrs experience as a technical architect/lead
  • 10+ yrs experience with software development, system architecture and system administration
  • 5+ years of Leadership experience with proven ability to efficiently manage workloads
  • Fluency (10+ years experience) in multiple programming languages (C++, NodeJS, Scala, Javascript, PHP, Python, Java)
  • HTML/CSS expertise
  • 5+ Years experience in at least one SQL database (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
  • 2+ Years experience with one or more NoSQL DBs (MongoDB,Cassandra,Redis,Snowflake etc)
  • Experience in project management and building and leading teams,
  • Experience with service-oriented architecture (SOA), microservices
  • Familiarity with various operating systems (e.g. Windows, UNIX) and databases
  • Experience in cloud technologies (e.g. AWS/Azure/GCP)
  • Expert in object-oriented analysis regardless of programing language
