The Role

Pantheon grew out of the community of professional web development teams building sites with WordPress and Drupal. The Developer Relations team keeps Pantheon connected to those roots and are passionate about helping developers build websites that deliver extraordinary results. As the Lead Developer Advocate you will lead our worldwide developer advocacy efforts to elevate our developer community and help drive growth at Pantheon. You will play an integral role in inspiring web developers to use our platform, engaging with our developer community, and representing Pantheon in the broader open source communities. By creating content like videos, presentations, technical blogs you will inspire developers to try Pantheon and be successful on the platform in their organizations. Cool Things You’ll Do

  • Define and execute strategies for driving developer awareness and adoption of the Pantheon Platform
  • Lead a team of developer advocates and own metrics to measure the success of the team
  • Establish the cadence and execution of developer-facing content and engagement initiatives in the community both virtually and in-person
  • Create technical content such as videos, conference presentations, technical blogs, sample code to inspire and enable developers
  • Prototype projects and technical integrations using the Pantheon platform and tools in the broader ecosystem
  • Serve as a thought leader to engage developers on innovative approaches and solutions
  • Act as the voice of developers by summarizing patterns observed in the community and sharing that information with cross functional teams to provide input to the developer experience and the product direction
  • Be an ambassador for Pantheon and participate in larger open source communities

What you Bring to the Table

  • 6+ years experience with web development with WordPress
  • 3+ years experience in developer education, developer relations or a customer facing role
  • 2+ years experience as a people manager of a developer advocacy or technical team
  • Working knowledge and expertise in decoupled CMS architectures
  • Strong understanding on how advocacy impacts product adoption and community growth
  • Proven track record of creating and producing engaging and informative technical content (such as videos, technical blogs) that resonates with developers
  • Experience creating presentations and speaking at technology conferences
  • Clear communication skills to different internal and external audiences in both written and verbal mediums
  • An active and credible presence in developer communities and contributions to an open source project

What We Can Achieve Together
The Principal Applications Architect for Constituent Engagement Systems is the technology lead in providing vision, defining strategy and designing solutions using their expert technical knowledge. They provide product development level expertise of BlackBaud CRM (BBCRM) for functional and technical support, contributing to all activities in the application development and maintenance life cycle for BBCRM and related applications and interfaces. Drawing from industry knowledge of other non-profits and CRM features, this position designs, develops, directs, and supports new, complex, technology solutions, including transformative maintenance and improvement efforts, from the ground-up according to system requirements and modeling TNC’s development best practices. They perform tasks assigned as required to complete projects and support for production incidents of varying complexity focusing on the most complex and urgent. They are a technical mentor and coach for the application development and support engineers on the IT Constituent Engagement Systems team helping prepare and train them on development best practices for SDK development, coding standards, code promotion, sandboxes, version control, CI/CD, code debugging, and all aspects of the development life cycle striving for operational excellence and efficient operations. They have extensive knowledge of the key technologies, industry trends, and players in the non-profit CRM community that they can draw upon to analyze changing business and market circumstances as well as industry trends to uncover alternatives and develop/implement optimal solutions for the future. They work closely with the Enterprise Architecture team for defining new strategies for BBCRM and assist with development of data standards that will facilitate integration between systems. They will provide similar support for other Constituent Engagement platforms as time allows and based on priorities. This position reports directly to the Associate Director CRMS Application Development and Support for Constituent Engagement. This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

What You’ll Bring

Overview

Create clear, compelling, and informative content

Moneythink publishes a wide variety of content related to our marketing and communications efforts. You’ll be responsible for creating and editing content for channels such as social media (e.g. posts for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok), websites, reports, product guides, advertisements, user interfaces, fundraising, presentations, and more.

Manage cross-functional collaboration across teams

You’ll manage cross-functional collaboration and copy generation with our product, partnerships, fundraising, and marketing teams. In partnership with our Graphic Designer, Marketing Director, interns, and consultants, you’ll help us scale our content production efforts and create a wide range of assets.

Build and maintain editorial process

You will support our growing team in creating processes to gather, produce, edit, and publish content in an organized and replicable manner. This will include developing and maintaining a content calendar and editorial guidelines as well as building out story banks and content libraries.

Employment: 100%

Location: Remote-first

We are a remote-first organization with team members contributing from California, Michigan, Massachusetts, Georgia, Minnesota, Florida, and Mississippi.

Those in the San Francisco Bay Area, where we are headquartered, also have the option to meet regularly at co-working spaces in San Francisco or Oakland. We are open to US-based remote candidates with the ability to travel twice per year for company on-sites. This style of working allows us to take advantage of the benefits of in-person time together while preserving the flexibility and freedom of working from home.

Salary: Compensation is commensurate with experience. The target starting salary range for this role is $65-75k annually. Moneythink offers a very competitive compensation package.

Target Start Date: Flexible; ideally early January.
