Job Description:

At Regions, the Corporate Communications Web and Infographics Designer contributes to the overall look, feel, and design of Regions’ industry-leading company news platform (http://regions.doingmoretoday.com), intranet site and digital content that is produced for internal and external audiences. This position understands and expects that our approach to communications must always evolve. Establishes daily activities and long-term priorities under the direction of the Web and Digital Design Manager.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assists with web page and infographic design for internal and external web properties and other digital media, such as company videos and presentations
  • May assist with motion graphic design
  • Collaborates with team members to design visual elements that complement stories and presentations
  • Updates both the news site and Intranet multiple times per day to effectively share stories involving the bank, its customers, and the communities we serve
  • Contributes ideas and tactics proactively to help us consistently reach a wider audience
  • Lays out stories in a visual, engaging manner that enhances our copy and strengthens our stories
  • Conceptualizes what is possible and takes initiative to turn concepts into reality
  • Develops and maintains strict compliance with communications standards governing Regions’ approach to internal and external communications

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, or related and three (3) years of professional experience in web publishing, video production, graphic design, media, public relations, corporate communications, or related field
  • Or High School Diploma or GED and seven (7) years of directly related experience
  • Experience with content management systems, video editing and motion graphics, layout/illustration and imaging software, and digital publishing

Preferences

  • Background in graphic design, video production, publishing and/or corporate communications

Position Highlights:

The primary purpose of the Instructional Designer is to bridge the gap between training ideas from the business and instructional design resulting in effective learning programs. To do this one must bring knowledge of learning theory, design, development, and performance analytics.

The Instructional Designer brings instructional design skills to training development but is also a strategic partner dedicated to helping the Director, Learning & Product Development design a comprehensive approach to leading-edge adult learning models, product types, and modalities that are efficient and resonate in the safety-training marketplace. The Instructional Designer is a problem solver, with strong consulting and project management skills, a skilled communicator with a flexible and agile approach, and a strategic thinker that can envision and oversee the creation of broader learning programs.

What You’ll Do:

Instructional Design & Development (60%):

  • Design and develop interactive, engaging, and visually compelling learning content for Instructor-Led courses, Virtual Instructor-Led courses, eLearning’s, and also hybrid blended solutions
  • Provide oversight of (external contractor/vendor) instructional design resources to assess compliance with the learning product goals and the NSC standards
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to understand the necessary learning outcomes and advise on appropriate learning solutions
  • Refine learning outcomes based on adult learning theories and design appropriate learning content for the audience
  • Design instructional graphics, the user interface, and the finished product to ensure it meets the NSC high-quality standards
  • Continually research and apply best practices in learning technologies and instructional design to ensure NSC is providing world-class instruction
  • Design supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc.)
  • Devise modes of assessment, such as tests or quizzes to track learner progress, and evaluations to measure the effectiveness of the course
  • Leverage a variety of instructional design techniques and approaches best suited to each project e.g. ADDIE, Kirkpatrick, Blooms, 5e
  • Oversee development to ensure that the course design is being correctly implemented throughout the development process

LMS/Technology Administration (20%):

  • Assist the LMS Administrator with loading, configuring, and troubleshooting courses
  • Assist the LMS Administrator with internal customer inquiries about our courses
  • Serve as an SME/Administrator for virtual learning technologies and/or other technologies needed for learning activities such as PollEverwhere, Webex, and Vitalsource
  • In collaboration with the L&D Product Managers, ensure all source files, course files, and templates are organized and in working condition

Learning Strategy & Innovation (20%)

  • Evaluate and assimilate new learning theories, approaches, and technology into NSC’s portfolio of learning product types
  • Design, build and test prototype learning products with an eye to expanding NSC’s marketable offerings
  • Represent NSC as a learning expert in a variety of settings including regularly updating our Chapter partners on trends and our future direction
  • Provide educational expertise to cross-functional teams exploring new business opportunities that contain an educational component
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on the design of new products

We’re Looking for Someone with:

  • Bachelor’s degree in instructional design or education preferred
  • 3 5 years experience in Adult Education
  • 3 5 years with Articulate 360 Storyline
  • In-depth knowledge of the application of learning theories and instructional design models for adult education
  • Advanced experience in creating eLearning’s, Virtual-Led trainings, and other online content
  • Experience with various course authoring tools and associated learning technologies
  • Strong understanding of SCORM, xAPI, and LMS admin functionality

Responsibilities:

A Customer Success Architect (CSA) is the technical champion for GitHub customers, who focuses on connecting the technical and business customer activities in partnership with GitHub Customer Success Managers. The CSA will be expected to help customers achieve their business outcomes related to topics such as software development lifecycle, devops, innersource, code analysis and security, product strategy and enablement. The CSA will coach technical champions within customer organizations on how to identify and plan technical strategies to address their most pressing business problems. Common activities include workflow design, deployment architecture guidance, and adoption planning.

Many of our customers begin with a set of strategic projects that grow into sizable partnerships.

Working with GitHub Customer Success Managers, the CSA will:

  • Lead customers in the application of GitHub products and services offerings to meet their desired business outcomes. This may include white-boarding and helping design an architecture one day or aiding in overcoming technical and cultural blockers to adoption.
  • Own the technical relationship with a portfolio of accounts, and partner with the other members of the account team (Customer Success Manager, Enterprise Sales Managers, Enterprise Account Managers, and Solutions Engineers) to define and execute account strategy
  • Be the customer’s champion inside of GitHub, advocating for them with Support, Product, Engineering, and other groups
  • Recommend product improvements based on customer experiences
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers, staying up to date on the ever-evolving state of technology, including both technology that is inside GitHub, and in complementary/competitive fields outside of GitHub
  • Support the expansion and renewal opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience in technical consulting, technical customer success, or other customer-facing technical roles
  • Experience helping customers with software development practices, devops, CI/CD, or open source development practices
  • Passion for continually improving the customer experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Can quickly identify and solve technical and business challenges related to software delivery

Minimum salary of $71,040 to maximum $159,200

At GitHub certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These rewards are allocated based on individual impact in role.
