Job Description:
At Regions, the Corporate Communications Web and Infographics Designer contributes to the overall look, feel, and design of Regions’ industry-leading company news platform (http://regions.doingmoretoday.com), intranet site and digital content that is produced for internal and external audiences. This position understands and expects that our approach to communications must always evolve. Establishes daily activities and long-term priorities under the direction of the Web and Digital Design Manager.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assists with web page and infographic design for internal and external web properties and other digital media, such as company videos and presentations
- May assist with motion graphic design
- Collaborates with team members to design visual elements that complement stories and presentations
- Updates both the news site and Intranet multiple times per day to effectively share stories involving the bank, its customers, and the communities we serve
- Contributes ideas and tactics proactively to help us consistently reach a wider audience
- Lays out stories in a visual, engaging manner that enhances our copy and strengthens our stories
- Conceptualizes what is possible and takes initiative to turn concepts into reality
- Develops and maintains strict compliance with communications standards governing Regions’ approach to internal and external communications
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, or related and three (3) years of professional experience in web publishing, video production, graphic design, media, public relations, corporate communications, or related field
- Or High School Diploma or GED and seven (7) years of directly related experience
- Experience with content management systems, video editing and motion graphics, layout/illustration and imaging software, and digital publishing
Preferences
- Background in graphic design, video production, publishing and/or corporate communications
Skills and Competencies
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment that requires creative thinking and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while executing a broad range of traditional and emerging communication strategies
- Commitment to teamwork and collaborating with colleagues to maximize our effectiveness on all publishing projects, large and small
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and thorough understanding of effective design principles
- Experience or adaptability in terms of web and graphics design as well as programming and photo editing
- Expert skill with content management systems, video editing (Final Cut Pro/Adobe Premier) and motion graphics (Motion/Adobe After Effects), and design/production/imaging tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign and Adobe Illustrator
- Strong initiative in conceptualizing ways to support and enhance Regions’ communications strategies
- Strong interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills
- Experience in SEO, Copy editing (AP Style), Branding and CSS
This position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience.
