Brief Overview:

As a Principal DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining deployment mechanisms and infrastructure for our self service platform. You will be responsible for not only defining the architecture, tools, processes, and best practices to enable a fast, safe, dependable, operationally excellent platform but also actively engaging in the implementation and execution of these strategies. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to optimize our software delivery pipelines, enhance system reliability, and drive automation across the organization.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable, efficient, and secure DevOps solutions in a cloud environment.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery, data store management, testing, and deployment processes.
  • Architect and manage infrastructure using tools like Kubernetes and Terraform.
  • Collaborate with product development, hosting, and QA teams to ensure alignment of DevOps strategies with business objectives.
  • Evaluate new technologies and tools to enhance the DevOps ecosystem.
  • Act as a hands-on mentor and guide for junior team members, leading by example to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor‘s or Master‘s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 15 years of proven experience in DevOps roles, with at least 5 years in an architect or senior engineering capacity.
  • Extensive expertise in designing and implementing DevOps strategies in complex, enterprise-level environments.
  • Proficiency with AWS
  • Experience with microservices architecture
  • Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Helm).
  • Strong scripting and automation skills using languages like Python or Bash.
  • In-depth knowledge of Terraform
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to troubleshooting technical issues.

SUMMARY

The Product Project Manager will manage and support several vendors, consultants along with internal business (ZTT and HS) requests that will maintain and implement HealthySteps products. They will support multiple complex projects and serve as the principal interface and liaison between business stakeholders (ZTT and HealthySteps, ZERO TO THREE’s IT team and vendors. This position will work under the HealthySteps program to ensure continuous progression of multiple and complex technology and software development projects. Additionally, this role will support timely escalation of issues, continuous reporting of status and quality assurance of technology products. The Product Project Manager, reporting to the Product Director Technology, HealthySteps, will connect multiple technical and non-technical teams together by performing effective stakeholder management.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support with managing vendors and consultants that maintain and implement HealthySteps products.
  • Assist in creating project plans and roadmaps for driving the implementation and ongoing project governance, project management and business analysis functions.
  • Interact with internal and external stakeholders and subject matter experts to determine their functional needs, while being the liaison between sub-teams.
  • Collaborate closely with the HealthySteps Project Manager (Operations Team) to support the delivery of technology-related projects for system design, development, and delivery. This includes establishing clear roles and responsibilities overall and on specific efforts and intentionally working together to strengthen communication, coordination, and collaboration in ongoing, responsive ways.
  • Support the Product team leads and collaborate with the Data Integration Specialist as needed to gather user feedback and conduct user research. Document, present and validate solution requirements, business processes, system dependencies, and any associated risks together with the Business (ZTT and HS) IT and vendors.
  • Utilize Agile project management methodology to guide all projects in a consistent, organized, and reliable manner.
  • Facilitate seamless communication within all stakeholders. Effectively communicate project expectations to internal and external project team members in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Assist with performing analysis of current systems, integrations and user needs, and document future state requirements.
  • Create strong and highly productive working relationships to ensure quality outputs.
  • Create and maintain a technical quality assurance plan to check for systems issues stemming from new configurations and upgrades.
  • Meticulously understand existing processes, recognize, and propose process changes to improve quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • Effectively coordinate and lead project-related meetings, providing a clear agenda in advance and document meeting minutes accurately. This will serve as communication to those involved.
  • Perform other duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the HealthySteps National Office.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Product Manager, Project Manager or Business Analyst preferred.
  • Experience with SaaS environments and/or App based technologies preferred.
  • 3 years working in an Agile process preferred.
  • Familiar with Waterfall methodology.
  • Experience with AWS, Asana and/or Jira is a huge plus.
  • Healthcare knowledge/experience is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills.
