Brief Overview:
As a Principal DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining deployment mechanisms and infrastructure for our self service platform. You will be responsible for not only defining the architecture, tools, processes, and best practices to enable a fast, safe, dependable, operationally excellent platform but also actively engaging in the implementation and execution of these strategies. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to optimize our software delivery pipelines, enhance system reliability, and drive automation across the organization.
Core Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable, efficient, and secure DevOps solutions in a cloud environment.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery, data store management, testing, and deployment processes.
- Architect and manage infrastructure using tools like Kubernetes and Terraform.
- Collaborate with product development, hosting, and QA teams to ensure alignment of DevOps strategies with business objectives.
- Evaluate new technologies and tools to enhance the DevOps ecosystem.
- Act as a hands-on mentor and guide for junior team members, leading by example to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor‘s or Master‘s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 15 years of proven experience in DevOps roles, with at least 5 years in an architect or senior engineering capacity.
- Extensive expertise in designing and implementing DevOps strategies in complex, enterprise-level environments.
- Proficiency with AWS
- Experience with microservices architecture
- Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Helm).
- Strong scripting and automation skills using languages like Python or Bash.
- In-depth knowledge of Terraform
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to troubleshooting technical issues.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
