Your impact.

As a Product Designer on the Communications team, youll own the design of critical user experiences across HealthJoy platforms that connect external users to our internal teams. Working within this cross-functional team, you will provide innovative, scalable solutions that allow members, clients, and HealthJoy operations to effectively communicate across our native mobile and web platforms. As a full stack designer, you will lead discovery, user research, prototyping, usability testing and UI design and contribute to improving our design system and research practices.

  • Define UX & UI requirements by working directly with your product manager, engineering, and product design team
  • Design flows and experiences that simplify and distill down complex actions and systems into usable interfaces
  • Take broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into something useful and valuable
  • Formulate and test hypotheses based on user research and behavioral analytics, designing and conducting user research and usability studies
  • Act as an end-to-end product designer who can visualize the customer journey, sketch, prototype, and see your product through production
  • Stay open and transparent, sharing work at various stages, remaining humble while soliciting and providing constructive feedback to peers at all levels
  • Re-imagine member facing communication methods and strategies in-app
  • Ensure internal HealthJoy teams are set up for success with internal tooling that simplifies member request fulfillment

Your experience.

  • 4+ years of industry experience in end-to-end product design
  • Proficient in hi-fidelity prototyping with Figma and design systems
  • Able to define projects and measures of success, test assumptions and outcomes, and continuously incorporate feedback
  • Effective in conducting and summarizing insights from qualitative and quantitative research
  • A proven user-centered design workflow that comprises: research, design, prototyping, presentation, sharing and soliciting feedback, user testing, influencing key decision making, and collaborative handoffs with developers
  • Able to function independently and in a team environment

About the Role

Dandy is hiring a 3D CAD Generalist Software Engineer to join our rapidly growing venture-backed company. The 3D and CAD team enables our company to execute high quality, custom, patient matched, dental prosthetic designs at scale and to high standards. In this role, you will help expand our internal 3D and CAD tooling in support of that mission. You will help bring innovative 3D algorithms to the web, and participate in building tooling for novel manufacturing processes.

What You’ll Do

  • Create interactive 3D tools using 3D libraries and UI frameworks
  • Solve challenging organic modeling problems with innovative UI and technological solutions
  • Expand and maintain our existing web and server side 3D design tools
  • Write XML file parsing and generation code that enables our application to interface with 3rd party applications and makes our application artifacts accessible to 3rd party tools
  • Managing 3D asset libraries and templates in a cloud setting

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years in application development
  • Strong in one of javascript/typescript, C++, or python
  • Proficiency in a UI framework: React, Qt, Angular etc
  • Familiarity with transforms, camera matrices and 3D mesh operations
  • Experience building 3D viewers, configurators, CAD or CAM applications
  • Experience building integrations with or extensions to off the shelf CAD or Modeling software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively internally.
  • Impact driven, independently motivated and self-starter mindset
  • Low ego and objective collaboration skills. Able to give and receive constructive criticism on ideas when solving complex problems

Bonus Points For

  • Front end web skills
  • Back end or cloud skills (infrastructure, cloud resources, database integrations etc)
  • Experience sourcing off the shelf cad or geometric libraries and integrating them into applications
  • Experience with WebGL, 3D web ecosystem (Three.js or Babylon.js)

  • Actively engage with payor medical directors to discuss appropriate authorization status as supported by documentation.

As a Senior Staff Product Designer at CARS, you will help solve challenges unique to our dual-sided marketplace by creating and delivering thoughtful product design solutions to car shoppers and dealer customers through design, research, empathy, and vigor. The Sr. Product Designer II for Consumer Monetization will be responsible for designing the experience to surface and sell auto-related products and services to the millions of car owners that visit our site each day. The Lead Product Designer for Consumer Monetization will do this by partnering closely with internal stakeholders (including Finance, Media, Marketing, and Sales), external stakeholders (near endemic partners), cross-functional teams, and other product designers to design products and features that excite, educate, and engage vehicle owners.

You will support Product Design team leadership by contributing to the establishment of strategy, vision, and architecture to deliver optimal product designs and user experiences. You contribute to expanded style guides, pattern libraries, and design systems for CARS products. You operate as an expert-level individual contributor with lead duties and develop design processes and resources with minimal oversight on multiple products or subject matter areas, while understanding the relationships and impact within the organization.

Essential Functions:

  • Experience designing mobile, tablet, and desktop experiences for responsive web.
  • Experience delivering wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and dev-ready high-fidelity designs.
  • Lead design projects across the entire product lifecycle and multiple product launches.
  • Partner with some facets of the business, contributing to product strategy and vision. Lead design alignment efforts with stakeholders across the organization to create a fit with strategic vision and coordinate through execution. See the connections between systems and lead projects or work with teams to bring them together.
  • Rapidly produce multiple concepts and prototypes, anticipating and prioritizing the needs of stakeholders. Proactively brainstorm initial design concepts with cross-functional teams to bring product requirements to fruition.
  • Engage in user-based research throughout the design process. Measure how your designs perform and come up with hypotheses for ways to improve performance. Represent the design team as a subject matter expert across cross-functional teams.
  • Set an example of what Design leadership looks like in the organization by: staying open to feedback; providing design guidance to other product designers; mentoring designers throughout the organization; and providing constructive, respectful feedback on design deliverables. You are also able to delegate design projects to other designers.
  • Translate complex user and business needs into simple, viable product design solutions.
  • Maintain a presence in the broader Product Design community.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in visual design, human-computer interaction, industrial design or related, or equivalent work experience.
  • 8 years’ experience in product design or related field.
  • Experience with Figma, Sketch, Invision, Principle, Zeplin or comparable tools.
  • Experience in an agile development environment.

Nice to Have Qualifications:

  • 10 years experience in visual design, human-computer interaction, industrial design or related field.
