The Principal Information Security Engineer is a role that understands, and has applied, a comprehensive method for analyzing and remediating security rules or policies across an enterprise while aligning with the organizations core business objectives and goals. The candidate will provide expert level analysis and direction across all application, network, systems, storage, cloud, mobile, and data protection environments. This person will be considered a go-to resource for all technical security items and be able to communicate at all levels of leadership, the importance of the security architecture and requirements chosen. The position will work with a team of experienced Security Architects within the enterprise security organization.
You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the contiguous U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Analyze, remediate, and approve firewall rules/policies in accordance with enterprise established standards and compliance requirements
- Make critical decisions on enterprise security policies
- Utilize the security monitoring tools to support audits (Ex: AlgoSec)
- Report and review the compliance status and take remediation actions
- Determine the severity and complexity of issues pertaining to the security and protection of systems data, (autonomously or as part of a team) to ensure the protections, conservation and accountability of proprietary, personal, or privileged electronic data
- Collaborate with director, managers, and other technical personnel to ensure mitigation of security risks pertaining to the company
- Define, implement, audit, and maintain firewall security policies
- Promote the development of innovative approaches and solutions to complex problems and issues
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience with Firewall rule/policy analysis and remediation
- 7+ years of experience with Palo Alto Firewall
- 5+ years of experience with Cloud Security
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in cyber security
- Splunk experience
- Security governance and compliance experience
- Supervisory experience
- Proven communication skills for team and customer engagement

Position Overview:
As a Business Operations Lead, you’ll play a critical role in the strategic direction and growth of the company. This position will report directly to the SVP of Business Operations and Corporate Development and will partner closely with the leadership team to ensure we make progress on key strategic initiatives and plays. The Business Operations Lead will work across the entire organization with high visibility, consistently collaborating with leaders from Product, to GTM, to People, and Finance. This role and team is new to the organization so you’ll also have the opportunity to shape the direction of the team and opportunity for impact.
We’re counting on you to:
- Work cross-functionally with go-to-market and product stakeholders to define and implement strategy across all Practice Better products, driving increased value to our users and our business
- Wear many hats as the Practice Better team grows and we create new functions or build out existing functional areas – you may find yourself leading Talent Operations for a quarter or building Product Operations and processes in another quarter.
- Structure complex, ambiguous strategic problems for the Practice Better leadership team, defining clear hypotheses and building business cases and quantitative models that will inform and influence our approach – individually and with teams
- Lead the definition and management of key drivers of business performance, identifying areas of opportunity and incorporating them into your work
- Deeply understand Practice Better customers and the broader competitive market landscape to uncover insights that inform your recommendations
Who you are:
- Highly analytical: Strong analytical skills, including fluency with Microsoft Excel and BI / Product Analytics tools like Looker, Tableau and Amplitude. Knowledge of SQL is strongly preferred but not required.
- Intellectually rigorous: Strong first principles thinker and someone who is able to drive efficient and rigorous analysis, research and insight generation while building hypotheses and an action plan to tackle challenges.

Job Summary

The DevOps Engineer I will play a significant role in the development, automation, and security across our diverse company portfolio. We presently use a diverse number of systems like Chef, GitLab, GitLab-CI, Terraform, and Kubernetes to automate the testing and delivery of both our Windows and Linux based hosted applications; with plans to consolidate on a standard set of tools leveraging GitLab-CI and Kubernetes where possible. The DevOps Engineer I will have a basic understanding of full-stack application development, testing, continuous integration, a passion for security, and experience working in an agile software development environment.
