About the Role:
We’re looking for a highly experienced Principal Engineer with the ability to lead teams, drive technical initiatives, and provide technical guidance and recommendations at an enterprise level. THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced Manager, Tax who thrives in a high growth and dynamic environment and who is excited to support all aspects of AG1’s global tax compliance and operations. The Manager, Tax will initiate and lead end-to-end tax projects that develop, maintain, and progressively refine the global tax compliance and reporting processes to minimize the Company’s tax risks and liabilities and maximize tax opportunities and favorable tax outcomes.
In this role, you will work with external advisors to coordinate filing all direct and indirect tax returns and preparation of our quarterly and annual tax provision, and will assist with international tax operational strategies and structures, international transfer pricing, and cross-functional partnership.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Tax, the Manager, Tax will be an integral part of our growing team at AG1 and will collaborate across various teams and senior levels of the company, as well as with external auditors. The ideal candidate is a strong collaborator who is passionate about driving tax efficiencies and effectiveness. We are seeking a candidate who is a self-starter ready to design, build, and maintain robust tax processes and procedures to ensure global tax compliance and accurate tax reporting.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Manage the design, build-out and maintenance of robust tax related processes to ensure global compliance and accurate reporting.
- Maintain the company’s tax calendar and ensure the timely completion of all direct tax compliance filings and tax payments.
- Lead all processes related to indirect taxes including U.S. sales and use tax, VAT and GST taxes, global withholding taxes, and other business taxes to ensure reporting compliance.
- Prepare the tax provision, forecast, and related tax journal entries in accordance with preparation of our US GAAP financial statements.
- Assist with the development of operational tax strategies and processes.
- Support the tax analysis of cross-border transactions, financing structures, and complex international tax planning strategies using tax forecasting tools.
- Oversee, coordinate with, and manage third party tax providers to ensure that all relevant tax issues are identified, communicated, and resolved in a timely manner.
- Actively participate in all tax audits, coordinate annual tax review and audit process with external auditors, and prepare necessary tax disclosures.
- Independently research tax related topics including federal, state, and indirect tax developments and laws that impact the company, and serve as a partner and counsel to department and team leadership on critical tax considerations.
- Internally consult and liaise with other departments/business units regarding the tax impact of new products, acquisitions, significant transactions, etc.
- Provide high caliber business partnership with internal and external stakeholders (team members, executives, auditors) on tax matters including tax savings opportunities and tax requirements for tax preparation and compliance.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 5+ years relevant experience in a corporate tax department or public accounting firm with an emphasis on domestic and international taxation.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting or comparable education.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensure preferred.
- Solid knowledge of international tax concepts (including indirect tax and transfer pricing).
- Experience with process improvement procedures and relevant technology platforms.
- Strong working knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) and Accounting Standards Codification (ASC) 740, Income Taxes.
- Ability to take an active role in the preparation, review, and consolidation of our quarterly and annual worldwide tax provision.

The Director of Implementation (DOI) is responsible for the overall operational success of the Implementations team.
