Title: Senior Systems Engineer

We are currently searching for an enthusiastic and innovative Systems Engineer to work on our System Operations team supporting and scaling HubSpot’s employee servicing servers and 3rd party application infrastructure. We’re a small team of technology driven individuals with a curiosity for how things work and a passion for designing and building reliable, scalable, and efficient systems. Your ultimate goal will be to act as a multiplier to HubSpot’s growth and employee productivity. Your ability to script, finesse different technologies to work together, and automate common tasks will be an advantage. As a Systems Engineer you will assist in design, installation, maintenance, and operational activities of the company’s internal infrastructure utilizing:
- Windows, Mac, VMware, and Linux operating systems
- AWS services
- 3rd Party SaaS integrations/APIs (e.g. GSuite, Okta, etc).
- 3rd Party Software (e.g. Atlassian Confluence, JIRA, Active Directory)
- Server automation (Ansible)
- Server and application monitoring
In this role, you’ll get to:
- Act as a technical lead on select project implementations.
- Learn new technologies and share your knowledge with teammates.
- Communicate regularly with other project stakeholders regarding project activities including planning, progress, issues and problem resolution.
- Develop tools to solve operational problems (e.g. pulling data from a 3rd party API, expanding our AWX/Ansible/Inventory automation infrastructure capabilities)
We are looking for people who:
- Have built complex systems from start to finish
- Python programming skills for scripting/automation/programming projects
- Cloud computing administration experience (AWS/GCP)
- Have strong fundamental knowledge of security best practices
