Job Summary
Paycor’s Project Managers, Client Service are responsible for utilizing proven project management methodologies to effectively lead the projects within the Client Service’s project portfolio. They are accountable for the completion of all key milestones/tasks, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery. They document, coordinate, and monitor progress from project initiation through closing. Successful Project Managers demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills of complex issues and are resourceful and creative in their general approach to problems. They assess the right resources to apply and to get the best out of the team as a whole. Spotting areas of conflict within the team early on and managing conflict is crucial.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead projects by working effectively with internal and external stakeholders and serving as the ultimate owner of project milestones and tasks.
- Create project charters and business objectives in partnership with business sponsor.
- Create and maintain project plans through the lifecycle of the project. Identify and manage dependencies, tasks, issues, owners, and risks.
- Utilize stakeholders and business analysts to gather and capture requirements for project delivery.
- Responsible for communicating status of Client Service initiatives to project team, stakeholders, and leadership.
- Build and maintain network of working relationships across the business.
- Raise concerns quickly to stakeholders and escalate when necessary.
- Serve as a thought leader for continuous improvement and transformation.
- Monitor associate adoption rates of enhanced/new processes and tools.
Requirements
- Four-year degree in Business Administration, MIS, or equivalent experience.
- 5 years prior project management experience with multiple project implementations; Project Management certification strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency with PC software including Microsoft Office Suites.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate with both associates and senior leadership within the organization.
- Strong organizational, attention to detail, and time management skills.

Responsibilities:

- Personnel and Capacity planning – facilitate working groups including Product management, Engineering leaders, Human Resources, and Finance to determine Engineering capacity needs and ramp/change to support roadmaps. Determine and communicate the staffing strategy and mix of FTE, contract, and outsource distribution based on objectives, workload, and deliverable timelines.
- Budgeting and Financials – work closely with our finance partners and engineering leaders to fully understand and closely manage technology financial needs and spend, which includes capacity costs, tooling, education, travel and expense, and other areas of engineering budget. This will include consolidating and actively managing the engineering budget for yearly strategic planning.
- Work with Product, Agile Transformation Office, Engineering, Operations and other stakeholders to define, align, and operationalize the use of Engineering performance metrics to facilitate a focus on continuous improvement and refinement of engineering best practices, agile engineering practices, development lifecycle, and process definition.
