While leveraging Bon Secours Mercy Health branding and design standards, this role will create various content and visual design products that guide associate strategies. The HR Design Consultant will advance the reputation and reach of Human Resources strategic agenda to a range of associates and other key influencers.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Work with key stakeholders to obtain an in-depth understanding of services and documentation requirements to produce standard and useful products that tells the story of human capital impact
- Produce high-quality content that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience
- Work to develop, define, and refine visual content. Write easy-to-understand standard templates for HR strategies such as change management, org design, toolkits, and playbooks and to design and conduct needs assessments
- Create and edit infographics on a variety of publications that guides and clarifies associate strategies and programs for leaders and associates.
- Consults with HR Strategic Partners (HRSPs) on visual design products for change management and change leadership in Organizational Effectiveness (OE) & HRSP
- May work on board related materials and partner with our Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and Chief People Officer (CPO) at times on business
- Building toolkits related to HRSP, OE, and M&A
QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate for this role is a strategic thinker who can lead contextual research and utilize design thinking to provide creative solutions through visual design and interaction design to solve user problems and deliver the best user experience to our member owners and their members.
The Product Designer will partner with product managers, project sponsors, stakeholders, IT business partners, vendors and credit unions to conduct contextual research and govern product design.
Additionally, they will provide help with constructing our strategy for encouraging users to continually engage with our products and services. With strategy in hand, this blended individual will also create personas, workflows, prototypes, and copy to execute on the chosen initiatives.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, and prepare artifacts/deliverables including but not limited to: Use Cases, Personas, Mock Ups, Prototypes, User Mapping, Product Design Assets, and research recommendation documents.
- Partner with product teams to identify end user business needs, develop design strategies and communicate your design solutions.
- Work directly with assigned scrum team to deliver mock ups and designs as needed for assigned project.
- Design and specify the product experience using iterative design techniques including customer interviews and usability testing.
- Produce design deliverables such as sketches, scenarios, wireframes, mental models and prototypes as part of the software development lifecycle.
- Work with Marketing Department to help define and maintain global patterns and guidelines libraries in which product design will be governed.
- Create and facilitate training sessions focused on design thinking, user experience research and design, user experience processes, and visual/interaction design best practices.
- Empower and enable design thinking and user experience throughout PSCU.
- Lead UX projects- Develop and implement design strategies and project plans that are aligned with the overarching UX and product roadmaps.
- Evangelize UX methodologies and processes within PSCU and across the credit union industry.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
- Four (4) years related experience in Interaction Design, Visual User Interface Design, and User Experience Research required.
- Experience with the financial, credit union industry and core or account processing required.
- Four (4) years creating interfaces, large scale websites, or applications preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Interaction Design & Visual Interface Design certifications recommended.
