While focusing on concept art, your contributions will serve as a cornerstone for the project’s artistic vision. As a Senior Character Concept Artist, you will:

To be considered for this role, we require the following:

  • Professional work experience as a Senior, Lead, or Principal concept artist within gaming, film, and/or television (or equivalent).
  • Experience creating concept art that directly impacted the direction of a notable video game, film, or TV show.
  • Ability to establish visual targets and create high-quality key concept art that captures defining moments of a series within a single shot.
  • Proven ability to self-direct, while also being able to provide constructive feedback to guide the work of others.

The Role:

Currently, we are seeking to hire a Senior Technical Designer. As a Senior Technical Designer, you are responsible for working with the design team on product design and development efforts to create innovative, functional, Designed For Life products supporting the Sac and Sactional brands and other projects. In this role, you should have a keen eye for detail, with a desire to learn and grow.

This position is considered hybrid and will report into Lovesac Corporate Headquarters based in Saint George, Utah. It will require a hybrid schedule calling for your flexibility to work onsite at the designated HUB or Retail touchpoints as needed in addition to travel required by the Company for occasional meetings and conferences.

Summary of Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to meet or exceed all goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Assist Designers to create and revise product specification sheets to a high level of detail.
  • Apply creative problem solving with technical accuracy to develop new products under the softgoods and hardgoods categories.
  • Utilize Adobe Suite programs to create and revise product packaging, specifications, fabric patterns, instructions, and other projects directed by senior team.
  • Develop, implement and maintain product quality, construction standards and fit.
  • Build strong relationships cross functionally and leverage team member expertise and feedback to determine any concerns and implement standards to maintain product quality.
  • Work between brand team, product development team and production and sourcing team to strategize on and help launch products that meet or exceed the conditions of research informed product briefs.
  • Give accurate and detailed project updates in project management system (Wrike).
  • Adopt the Lovesac DFL (designed for life) philosophy and use it to guide the teams towards products that are Built to Last, and Designed to Evolve as part of our effort to responsibly manage the products that are put into consumers homes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree required in a related field.
  • Must have a minimum of 5+ years experience in Technical Design or Product Design.
  • Must have physical product development experience for consumer products.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains an understanding of Origamis business processes and the application systems/infrastructure that supports them. This will include Salesforce, CPQ and Salesforce/Internal tool integrations.
