About the role:
As a Web Developer on Samsaras Growth team, youll work with partners across marketing and design to develop world-class web experiences. Youll work to create new pages, develop seamless content creation tooling, and help ensure our web properties are optimized for performance, efficiency, and scalability.
Our ideal candidate has had experience creating responsive web pages from detailed file handoffs from designers (we use Figma!) and experience working on multi-language websites leveraging a headless content management platform.
Sample URLs or Github sample projects are required to be considered.
This role is open to candidates residing in the US except Alaska, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, Virginia, Washington DC, and Washington.

In this role, you will:
- Deliver and maintain responsive content and integrations across Samsara web properties
- Keep our CMS (Contentful) current by developing content types and extensions
- Increase web scalability, user engagement, and traffic by determining and implementing the best web development standards
- Optimize Samsara.com for performance and accessibility
- Build CMS workflows and architecture for translations, global site updates, and self-serve changes
- Understand the technical constraints of a project, and make pragmatic tradeoffs with stakeholders
- Create outstanding user experiences on both desktop and mobile by collaborating with peers across Digital Strategy, Design, Marketing, and SEO
- Champion, role model, and embed Samsaras cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices
Minimum requirements for the role:
- 2+ years in a front-end development role; include portfolio or samples of past work and projects
- Fluent in HTML, CSS, JavaScript (JavaScript libraries like Nuxt, Next, Gatsby, Gridsome)
- Experience with Gulp, Sass, Webpack
- Proficient in developing sites with headless CMS platforms (Contenful experience is a plus!)
- Experience accurately translating designs cross-browser for a variety of screen sizes
- Excellent organizational skills, communication, collaboration, and attention-to-detail
- Experience working with Figma or similar (Sketch and InVision)
An ideal candidate also has:
- Experience with multi-language sites and localization
- Experience with Vue / Nuxt
- Familiarity with Github actions
- Experience driving accessibility (A11y) testing and best practices across engineering and design
- Experience with JAMStack hosting platforms like AWS Amplify, Netlify, Vercel
