Key Responsibilities:
- Lead responsibility for analyzing past sales data, title attributes, current inventory, estimated enrollments, and vendor characteristics to forecast the correct estimated sales quantities.
- Also responsible for creating and reviewing data analytics with management to assist with adoption compliance, sales forecasting, monitoring key performance indicators, and other data as needed to monitor and grow sales.
- Directly responsible for determining correct vendor sourcing to maximize margin and reduce markdowns; negotiate with vendors for favorable discounts, minimums, and returns percentages.
- Responsible for analyzing unsold and surplus inventory and determining what titles and quantities should be returned to vendors, sold to other sources, or purged and initiating proper procedures to decrease inventory. Will develop first pass at E&O analysis.
- Enforce and oversee compliance with performance metrics for employees and oversee personnel improvement and growth.
- Ensure all resolution of difficulties with various vendors regarding stock issues, substitutions, title problems, etc. are done in a professional manner.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to identify and qualify potential vendors.
- Implement strategies to minimize overspending, reduce leftover inventory, and maintain reasonable shipping costs.
- Create and generate reports on procurement activities, including spending trends, supplier performance, and cost savings.
- Analyze data to identify opportunities for improvement and cost reduction.
