Position Overview

The Senior Release Manager at Frontline acts as a leader within the release management discipline, responsible for defining and building out the processes and best practices for successful software release rollouts. In this role, you will orchestrate across departments to ensure both internal and external customers are prepared to execute their responsibilities effectively when new software versions go live. You will work closely with agile teams and Product Management to identify and understand impacts early, ensuring that processes, systems, and tools are in place to support training and readiness needs. This includes, but is not limited to, the coordination and leadership of plans for marketing, training, support, and production rollouts, facilitating steering committees, and conducting roadshows.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements standardized, repeatable release management disciplines and processes, ensuring consistency and efficiency across all product releases.
  • Ensures all areas of the business are aligned to ensure successful delivery of software releases.
  • Proactively identifies system changes that will have cross departmental impacts by working closely with Product Management and other key stakeholders within the Technology department.
  • Orchestrate collaboration with Customer Success, Training, Marketing, and Sales to articulate updates, identify impacts, define accountable owners, and develop enablement materials for optimal readiness.
  • Organizes and facilitates internal and external steering committees and roadshows at various stages of the release cycle to ensure alignment, stakeholder engagement, and effective communication.
  • Maintains the release schedule and communicates updates and changes to internal and external customers.
  • Conducts Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews.
  • Attends requirement sessions and feature demos to stay abreast of latest features, system changes and impacts.
  • Contributes to overall strategic direction of rollouts and works cross-functionally to identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Develop and deliver high-impact presentations for senior leadership, clearly communicating progress against strategic roadmap initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business, engineering, IT or related field or commensurate experience.
  • 8+ years of Release Delivery and/or Project Management experience required.
  • 10+ years of overall professional experience in IT, software development, or a related field.
  • Exceptional project management skills (PMP certification a plus).
  • Demonstrable knowledge of software development lifecycles and Agile methodologies.
  • Ability to maintain alignment and interact with a diverse group of departments, stakeholders and management.
  • Intermediate to advanced level of experience with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, effectively conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders while also engaging with technical teams in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to set and manage priorities judiciously.
  • Ability to synthesize information into succinct, concise, and logical summaries, reports or presentations.
  • Must be exceptionally self-motivated, proactive and a team player.
