What you’ll do:

  • Be a strategic problem solver who will lead the most challenging strategic and business related projects often without an obvious way forward. Fully aware of adjacent dependencies, making sure solutions are pragmatic and have a high impact at the company level.
  • Exercise UX strategy and processes to enable the team to identify the right user insights, goals, and problem framing. Effectively applies empathy and context awareness of the problem at different zoom levels: the user level, business strategy, technical infrastructure, and organizational structure.
  • Execute the process of planning, navigating trade-offs, and creating meaningful user experiences inspiring and ensuring that the products we build are designed to create impact.
  • Effective communicator and brilliant stakeholder manager (leaders at all levels) who can collaborate closely with product, engineering, UX research, and UX writing counterparts to shape a data-informed vision for the user experience of our products.
  • Make smart and decisive decisions and be comfortable and self-driven through ambiguity and uncertainty in an ever changing macroeconomy.

About The Role:

The primary responsibility of the CRM Marketing Manager will be to manage paid onboarding, churn reduction, and paid user reactivation by bringing together deep expertise in customer targeting with beautifully crafted messaging that drives results.

This person will be responsible for end-to-end delivery from campaign development, to capturing business requirements, to planning, set-up, deployment, delivery, and evaluation of performance against KPIs. She/he will collaborate with key stakeholders in Marketing, Analytics, Brand & Content, Product Marketing, Product, and Customer Success.

What You’ll Do:

  • Execute and manage user communications strategy, including enriching the E-mail program
  • Be responsible for acquisition campaigns, from conceptualization through analysis. This includes idea generation, proposal preparation, overseeing the production process, and overseeing execution
  • Develop, implement and own weekly reports for CRM program monitoring
  • Analyze email performance and provide ongoing feedback to Creative, Marketing, and Growth Product teams on what is working and what is not
  • Conduct regular, extensive experimentation (A/B and MVT) to facilitate rapid learning & application of any insights
  • Continually assess the current state of CRM & e-mail programs to identify new opportunities and build them into the strategic roadmap
  • Stay in touch with new technologies that can help us evolve our data-driven strategies and personalized customer communications
  • Monitor industry statistics and provide benchmarking where available
  • Project manage the brief submission, content calendar, and creative processes
  • Works with various areas of Marketing to develop and execute marketing campaign strategies that attract, nurture, and convert current and future customers
  • Manage the execution of marketing campaign tasks such as campaign setup, scheduling, triggers, tracking, testing, and deployment
  • Help scale automated marketing campaigns across channels with email marketing, nurturing efforts, ad targeting, and journey personalization
  • Work closely with marketers to understand objectives, develop programs, and ensure executions and segmentation strategies meet those objectives
  • Maintains expertise through research and industry monitoring to evaluate and apply the latest industry best practices
  • Manages deliverability and send volume through ESP and sending APIs, and maintains relationships with marketing automation vendors
  • Work with data analysts to provide reporting of marketing automation efforts and present campaign analysis to key stakeholders.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 3+ years of experience as a power user of Salesforce Marketing Cloud (or comparable platform)
  • Demonstrated success executing marketing campaigns, including database management, list development, setup, testing, launching and scoring of campaigns and programs, and reporting on campaign analytics
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS is required; familiarity with SQL queries and APIs is a plus

NPR’s News Apps/graphics team is looking for a civic-minded graphics reporter to join us to cover the 2024 elections. Our team works on data visualizations, information design, creative story presentations and custom tooling to help tell stories in the NPR newsroom. This is a temporary position, running through Nov. 15, 2024, and can be based at our Washington, D.C., headquarters or at a remote location in the U.S. approved by NPR.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to help our audience make sense of the elections, including key issues, results and analysis. Your biggest responsibilities will be to help design and build our results displays for primary season and the general election, and to work on related stories and analysis. You will be assigned other projects as bandwidth permits.

On this team, you will have to work quickly in a dynamic environment. Members of our team wear many hats designer, reporter, data wrangler, developer, cartographer, sysadmin, etc. Depending on your experience and the team’s needs, you’ll also utilize different skills day-to-day. And you’ll work closely with various journalists and storytelling units around the NPR organization and across our network of member stations, including photographers and video journalists, beat reporters and show producers, copy editors, digital editors and engagement editors.

This is a union represented role covered under the terms of a collective bargaining agreement with SAG-AFTRA.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and build user-facing election results displays for use on NPR.org and member station websites
  • Help our audience understand issues in the news through visual storytelling methods, which may include information graphics, data visualization, interactivity and illustration
  • Work closely with individual story producers, editors and teammates to identify opportunities for visual storytelling, data visualization and/or analysis
  • Assess what work realistically can be executed in the time available and meet agreed-upon deadlines
  • Uphold and extend existing design standards for NPR graphics and editorial projects
  • Document your work for teammates, newsroom colleagues and/or external audiences, as relevant
  • Coach other team members, articulating story, design and code suggestions in a helpful and supportive way

As an AVIO Developer, you are part of a team delivering MuleSoft based solutions for our clients.
