About the Role

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

  • Development of new features in multiple applications that make up our Modern Retail suite of tools
  • Writing high quality, clean code that is paired with automated unit and integration tests
  • Taking new features through the entire development lifecycle, working in conjunction with our product owner to define the feature, develop it, and test it
  • Refactoring of non-ideal code in our applications
  • As a senior engineer you will be expected to be a thought leader and mentor to less senior developers in your area of expertise

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or commensurate combination of education and experience.
  • 4+ years of professional experience with front-end technologies; including React, Redux, Webpack.
  • Mastery of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS/SASS/Styled Components.
  • Professional experience with Typescript
  • Strong understanding of asynchronous programming
  • Experience with performance debugging and benchmarking
  • Experience with testing frameworks, such as Jest
  • Experience with Git version control.
  • Understanding of CI/CD.
  • Strong attention to design detail (UI/UX).
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills.
  • Strong documentation skills.

Highly Desired:

  • Professional experience working with NodeJS or PHP
  • AWS Cloud Architecture experience

  • You are a curious, ambitious, empathetic, and strategic designer. You’re a total pro in Human-centered and Service Design methodologies and deliverables.
