Job Description

A key pillar in our strategic roadmap is developing our future technology platform giving our development team new opportunities to learn, innovate and shape the future of education in the Asia Pacific region. As a full stack developer, you will be part of an experienced team focused on expanding the capabilities of our tech stack and helping define the next evolution of our applications to deliver engaging experiences to users.

You will be hands on and pragmatic and comfortable collaborating with solutions architects, designers, and the business to implement great technical outcomes.

A successful candidate can demonstrate commercial experience in a leading CMS (such as Drupal) and should have solid experience working with technologies like JavaScript & CSS.

You’ll need to be curious and disciplined and enjoy working through all phases of the development lifecycle. Passionate about both front-end development and back-end design and implementation you’ll have worked across a breadth of the stack. You will have an awareness of accessibility and security and some experience with automated testing.

You should know about:

  • Web standards and best practices
  • Helping with peer reviews, participating in refinement sessions and sprint reviews
  • Integrating web applications with various APIs and third-party services to provide seamless functionality
  • Working with Content Management Systems including development of custom themes and modules/plugins

As the Senior Payroll Manager, will oversee the accuracy of each payroll and compliance with applicable payroll tax laws, serving as a strategic partner to both People Ops and Accounting. As the first hire of the payroll department, you will be responsible for designing and implementing policies and procedures for payroll, measuring the percentage of error-free payroll calculations and processing, and evaluating the percentage of payroll activities that comply with relevant labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies.

You Will

  • Manage the payroll and tax compliance for a multi-state/multi-entity workforce.
  • Design, document, and implement payroll processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage state tax registrations, including handling paperwork, setting up state portals, and updating Gusto/payroll with information upon state registration completion.
  • Ensure that the payroll is compliant with all applicable laws and regulations, including tax laws, labor laws, and benefits regulations. Verify that all payroll taxes are withheld and remitted properly.
  • Ensure accuracy of benefit withholdings, including health benefits and 401k.
  • Process payroll in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with the People Operations team on employee payroll changes, compliance, workers’ comp audits, payroll adjustments for leaves or bonuses, onboarding, dismissal payroll, and bonus/promotion adjustments.
  • Own payroll review process. Obtain approvals from the appropriate parties, including managers and executives, for the payroll and related reports. Researching issues identified.
  • Manage incoming mail related to payroll and taxes.
  • Maintain and organize all documentation for future reference and audit purposes.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team on the analysis and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, benefits billing, and GL financial analysis.
  • Support ad-hoc projects within the accounting team.

You Are

  • Knowledge of state tax regulations, payroll processing, and employment laws.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience handling multi-state and multi-entity payrolls.
  • Solution-oriented with design and implementation processes experience.
  • A payroll professional with 7-10 years of progressive payroll experience.
  • Experienced with a strong working knowledge of US federal, state, and local rules and laws
  • Comfortable processing payroll independently.
  • Someone who appreciates accuracy and has an unwavering attention to detail.
  • Exceptional with project management, specifically managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.

Role Summary:

The eCommerce Marketplace Manager will launch new markets with internal stakeholders for multiple brands (including Solo Stove, Oru Kayak, ISLE paddleboards, Chubbies, Terraflame & IcyBreeze). The eCommerce Marketplace Manager will be expected to know what levers to pull to maximize performance across the globe for 30+ countries. They will also provide insights and recommendations of new marketplaces with growth plans, creating forecasts, targets and goals.

This role will need familiarity with API integrations and automations related to Amazon Seller Central, strong skills in Excel, an understanding of digital advertising and navigating diverse portfolios. The eCommerce Marketplace Manager will report directly to the SVP of Digital with support from the VP of Europe. This role will be a fully remote position.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee ongoing operations of Solo Brands on Amazon International, Walmart, other critical 3p marketplaces
  • Provide strategic insights & recommendations of new marketplaces with growth plans
  • Launch new markets with multiple brands, assortments & internal stakeholders
  • Ensure daily site maintenance, including correcting product descriptions, placement, new item posting, and functionality meets & exceeds company expectations
  • Manage execution and analysis of catalog management, paid search & SEO optimization
  • Collaborate and execute new channel programs and promotions for Amazon (e.g., Prime Day, Holiday etc)
  • Monitor operational KPIs with weekly reporting on performance metrics
