About The Role
As the Data Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of data engineers responsible for building and maintaining the foundational infrastructure of our data platform. This is a hands-on role with a small team, where you will have the opportunity to provide technical leadership and serve as the bridge between our Data and Product Engineering organizations.
You will report to the Head of Data and can work out of our office in New York City or work remotely from anywhere in the continental US.
What you’ll do
- Lead and grow a small team of Data Engineers, including career and performance management
- Partner with the Analytics Engineering team build and maintain the roadmap for our data stack and infrastructure
- Evolve our data stack as GlossGenius’ Engineering organization migrates from a monolith to a service-oriented architecture
- Facilitate the sharing of data from our warehouse for production and other commercial use cases
- Be a champion of data privacy and quality
What we’re looking for
- 5+ years of experience as a software engineer, data engineer, or other data-related role; at least 2 years of management experience
- Strong Python and SQL skills and knowledge of data modeling, ETL/ELT development principles, data warehousing concepts, and software engineering concepts
- Willingness to make build vs. buy decisions for critical pieces of our data infrastructure
- Experience managing a cloud data warehouse and a workload scheduling and orchestration framework, preferably Snowflake and Airflow
- Familiarity with the other technologies in our data stack (including Fivetran, Stitch, Segment, dbt, Looker and Hex) preferred
- Familiarity with languages and technologies used by our Engineering team (including Ruby, Kotlin, React, and React Native) preferred

Job Overview:
This position is responsible for developing original design, creative playbooks and assets for campaigns and other marketing vehicles that support B2B campaigns in the consumables, equipment and services spaces. This role will work closely with cross functional teams, including growth marketers, copywriters and media buyers to develop visually stunning video and digital creative that drives engagement and conversions throughout the full marketing funnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design a cohesive and esthetic omnichannel experience for the full digital marketing funnel, including ad design for Meta, LinkedIn, YouTube and other platforms, email and landing pages, and other digital channels, as well as occasional print design
- Produce and edit video assets which will be used as digital ads, as well as for posting to the Henry Schein Dental YouTube channel and other platforms
- Leverage the use of data, research and customer insights to drive design esthetic, and provide guidance to marketing partners on overall campaign look and feel
- A flexible approach to design that leverages a test-and-learn approach, A/B testing and in-flight creative updates to improve the impact of campaigns in real time
- Conceptualize original design ideas, collaborate with marketing partners, and present and defend designs to peers and executive level stakeholders
- Create marketing assets that are optimized to drive micro- and macro-conversions in a variety of channels and calls-to-action, including engagement, opens, clicks, ecommerce transactions and form fills
Specific Knowledge & Skills:
- Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in graphic and web design, including designing video and digital ads for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and other social platforms, as well as designing landing pages, emails and online ads

About the position
In this role you will act as the primary security resource within a team of 3-5 cross-functional engineers responsible for designing, implementing, and managing KoBold’s software and device security infrastructure to protect our information systems, networks, and data. This is a hands-on role that provides a unique opportunity to shape the future direction and design of our systems in safeguarding KoBold against cyber threats, ensuring compliance with security policies and regulations, and responding to security incidents. As the first dedicated cybersecurity hire, you will help us build the cybersecurity group from the ground up.
Responsibilities
The Security Engineer will:
- Develop and maintain Kobold’s security strategy, policies, and procedures to safeguard IT infrastructure, devices, and data assets according to evolving industry best practice.
- Deploy and maintain security systems for both IT and cloud infrastructure, including network flow controls, authentication and access controls, encryption protocols, data access controls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, mobile device management systems and antivirus software.
- Monitor security systems and networks for unusual activity, intrusions, and security events.
- Develop and maintain proactive alerting systems and incident response plans.
- Respond to security alerts and incidents in a timely and effective manner.
- Perform regular security assessments and vulnerability scans
- Perform or commission penetration tests to identify and address weaknesses in systems and applications.
- Develop and execute plans for compliance and mitigation of risk.
- Engage and coordinate with third-party risk and compliance assessments
- Conduct security awareness programs and training for employees to promote a culture of security within the organization.
Qualifications
You must have:
- At least 5 years of experience as a cybersecurity professional at a company with high security standards.
- Hands-on experience configuring and managing security technologies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and endpoint security solutions.
- Hands-on experience improving security for mobile devices, laptops, and workstations.
- Deep understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, HTTPS, etc.), architecture, and security.
- Experience with cloud security, such as AWS and Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with Windows and Mac mobile device management systems.
- Familiarity with security assessment tools and methodologies, such as OWASP, ATT&CK, NIST, PCI, SOC2, etc.
It is helpful, but not required, to have:
