What You’ll Do

The web teams are responsible for building the best experience possible for the millions of members using our Aetna Health website. You will work alongside other engineers and with the product and design teams to consistently deliver new features. You will also work to refactor existing code in order to bring greater stability and scalability for our application as our membership continues to increase. This Senior Web Software Engineer II can expect to design, develop and implements digital solutions and systems by applying advanced technical expertise to architect and code software applications, conduct system testing and debugging, collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to the overall technical direction and innovation of digital engineering projects.

In any given day you will

  • Contribute code and tests according to criteria established by our product and engineering teams
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and support our application in production
  • Seek opportunities to enhance the stability, performance, maintainability, and extensibility of our application
  • Lead discussions by communicating technical ideas to non-technical individuals
  • Participate in the design of software architecture solutions
  • Provide input on technical feasibility, performance optimization, and scalability considerations to ensure that the overall solution meets the desired objectives
  • Participate in knowledge sharing activities, such as code reviews, tech talks, and workshops, to foster a culture of learning and collaboration within the team
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers, helping them improve their technical skills and grow professionally

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years of professional experience with modern web frameworks, at least some of which is in ReactJS and Redux
  • 5 years of experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5 years of experience integrating with RESTful APIs
  • 5 years of experience writing unit and integration tests
  • Experience translating large features into software design
  • Knowledge of CircleCI
  • Knowledge of accessibility in web applications

Position Overview:
The Project Manager is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals. The Project Manager will be the primary contact with the customer during the implementation working collaboratively with the customer project manager. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing multiple small and large scale projects following the PerfectServe Project Management Methodology.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The Project Manager performs a wide range of duties including some or all of the following:
  • Plan the project
  • Coordinate transitions from sales to services and eventually transition to customer success for long-term support
  • Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables
  • Define project tasks and resource requirements
  • Modify standard project plan to meet the requirements listed in the Statement of Work
  • Determine key project success factors for the project that will be evaluated upon completion
  • Staff the project
  • In consultation with the implementation managers, assign the appropriate resources to the project plan

Position Description:

  • Ensure all project team members understand the project scope and success factors captured during the sales to services hand-off
  • Provide direction and support to the project team

  • Evaluate the project
  • Prepare project completion documents and ensure all required project close out documents are obtained
  • Ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality
  • Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase
  • Travel: 25% or as required

The Mission

We are seeking a talented Senior Project Manager to join our growing Cloud Project Management team. The right candidate is someone who is empathic, customer obsessed and organized.Your mission will be to work collaboratively with engineering teams and with customer stakeholders to ensure project goals and engagement expectations are met. You must be able to act as a Scrum Master on engagements in order to deliver quality solutions to our customers using a consultative approach. As a Senior Engagement Manager, you will be expected to contribute to best practice sharing and mentoring of new team members.

Your Assignment

  • Oversee all assigned engagements, including setting goals between clients and delivery teams, planning and execution of projects, conducting regular touch-points and coordinating account-related activities as needed

  • Schedule and facilitate short Daily Stand-Up meetings with the delivery team to track progress

  • Managed technical engagements that consist of 5 or more people and over $500,000 budget
  • Experience in forecasting and budgeting management to drive accuracy in revenue projections to realization
  • At least 3 years of experience in a client-facing PM/Scrum type of role in the technical industry
  • Ability to interact with clients at both a business and technical level
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present to executives
  • Ability to develop processes, templates and standards around engagement management best practices

This Marketing Project Manager role will be client facing (Although some marketing project manager roles are exclusively internal). This person will oversee one-time projects such as website designs; onboarding of new monthly recurring contracts; and tracking success of existing ongoing contracts.
