The Marketing Operations team is looking for a project manager. You will lead end-to-end delivery of projects and provide operational support across initiatives.

You should have a strong foundation in project management and enjoy solving problems. You can transform the seemingly undefined and complex into something digestible, clear and systematic.

You will report to the Senior Program Manager and work alongside a team of marketers and various internal and external stakeholders.

What you’ll be doing

  • Operationalize Discord’s marketing calendar by coordinating across individual projects and teams to deliver against macro goals
  • Successfully deliver projects on budget. Review briefs, design an effective plan and process, facilitate cross-functional collaboration, and keep teams on track.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally within marketing, to right-size project scope, define processes and milestones, and proactively identify interdependencies and mitigate risks.
  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders and support communication with leadership teams.
  • Deeply understand business goals and connect them with prioritization of incoming project requests.
  • Partner with the Senior Program Manager on a variety of special projects (eg. streamline internal processes, define best practices, operational frameworks, etc.)

What you should have

  • Experience managing multiple projects at a cross-functional level and across various marketing executions
  • Strong communication, organization, planning, negotiation and risk management skills
  • Superb organization and time management; able to prioritize large volumes of work effectively and efficiently
  • Experience working effectively in a cross-functional environments
  • 5+ years of previous experience in project management at an agency and/or in-house marketing team
  • Experience documenting processes, understanding and analyzing briefs against macro strategies, and a well rounded knowledge of marketing processes

The Role:

The Project Manager will be responsible for the scoping, planning, and execution of various cross-functional team projects within established Product cycles. You’ll be driving work to meet our key Product deliverables that will ultimately influence greater product engagement and adoption in schools. Your work will include forecasting resources to meet project needs, owning communications to critical project stakeholders, and removing blockers to maintain forward momentum for projects while keeping the team motivated. The Sr Designer, Digital + Brand, creates iconic digital assets that support our member engagement efforts that directs consumers to action. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design digital and print pieces that support member engagement marketing such as: emails, slices, on-site assets, landing pages, direct mail, box inserts, and auxiliary campaign collateral
  • Collaborate with team members across photo, content, and merch marketing to determine objectives, style, and visual approaches necessary to complete creative objectives; Interpret and follow Creative Briefs
  • Effectively communicate status of projects to project managers and key stakeholders on a regular basis, thoughtfully describing your process, strategy, and rationale
  • Own all email marketing creative to meet monthly revenue targets
  • Collaborate with Content on editorial direction of email sends for monthly promo and quarterly seasonal campaigns
