Title: Project Manager, Marketing Operations
Location: US National
Remote (U.S.)
The Marketing Operations team is looking for a project manager. You will lead end-to-end delivery of projects and provide operational support across initiatives.
You should have a strong foundation in project management and enjoy solving problems. You can transform the seemingly undefined and complex into something digestible, clear and systematic.
You will report to the Senior Program Manager and work alongside a team of marketers and various internal and external stakeholders.
What you’ll be doing
- Operationalize Discord’s marketing calendar by coordinating across individual projects and teams to deliver against macro goals
- Successfully deliver projects on budget. Review briefs, design an effective plan and process, facilitate cross-functional collaboration, and keep teams on track.
- Collaborate cross-functionally within marketing, to right-size project scope, define processes and milestones, and proactively identify interdependencies and mitigate risks.
- Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders and support communication with leadership teams.
- Deeply understand business goals and connect them with prioritization of incoming project requests.
- Partner with the Senior Program Manager on a variety of special projects (eg. streamline internal processes, define best practices, operational frameworks, etc.)
What you should have
- Experience managing multiple projects at a cross-functional level and across various marketing executions
- Strong communication, organization, planning, negotiation and risk management skills
- Superb organization and time management; able to prioritize large volumes of work effectively and efficiently
- Experience working effectively in a cross-functional environments
- 5+ years of previous experience in project management at an agency and/or in-house marketing team
- Experience documenting processes, understanding and analyzing briefs against macro strategies, and a well rounded knowledge of marketing processes
