Wild Health is a growing, fast-paced startup using technology to revolutionize healthcare. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, and partnering closely with our Director of Product, this role is an ideal balance of overarching design strategy and hands-on product design execution. As a design leader, you’ll be responsible for setting the vision behind our overall user experience, partner on company-wide design decisions, and define and execute on our end-to-end product design strategy. You’ll collaborate closely with our product, engineering, design and clinical teams to build amazing products for our patients. The ideal candidate is motivated by building delightful user experiences, passionate about driving business impact and excited about hands-on design execution while playing a key leadership role within the org.

What you’ll do:

  • Drive the strategy behind the user experience strategy and design of our digital products from conception to launch
  • Work through all aspects of the design process – from research, ideation, UX architecture, flows, interactions to wireframes, testing and polished visual design
  • Lead and participate in user research and testing to apply insights to inform design strategy
  • Rapidly produce UX concepts and vision through effective demonstrations and storytelling
  • Make data-driven decisions that translate business goals into product experiences, turning complex problems into simple and elegant user-centric experiences
  • Implement, maintain and evolve the Wild Health Design System
  • Strategically balance design thinking with effective execution without sacrificing the integrity of design
  • Collaborate in cross-functional teams by communicating visually and verbally with key-stakeholders, including non-designers

What you’ll need:

  • 5+ years of experience designing high impact and successful, consumer-facing digital products across mobile and web
  • Leading role in solving complex problems and developing creative UX concepts and execution for initiatives across multiple patient touch points or product areas
  • Track record of driving end-user and business impact through designing products and features successfully
  • Experience working in a rapid release cycle environment and partnering closely with Tech partners (Product Managers, Engineers, Data)
  • Design maturity in setting UX vision and explaining rationale behind design decisions with a strong problem solving orientation
  • A pattern of curiosity and skill-building over time (growth mindset)
  • Experience with Figma, The Atlassian Suite, and various prototyping tools.

Senior Product Manager

The Field Engineering team within the Customer Success organization incubates products that are used to unlock use of GitHub for enterprise customers and our broader community.

Field Engineering is building products to help customers adopt GitHub and is looking for a Product Manager to manage new products used to drive adoption. The ideal candidate will have product management experience in the CI/CD space serving as the bridge between the customer and the engineering team.

Responsibilities

  • Represent the customer. You will be the champion and voice of customers in every conversation. You will build direct relationships with customers as well as immersing yourself in customer feedback.
  • Manage the roadmap. Make tactical prioritization decisions while helping the team think long-term. Build trust with stakeholders by maintaining an understandable, accurate roadmap.
  • Collaborate across teams. Your success will require coordination across multiple teams and domains at GitHub.
  • Data driven decision making. Analyze data for trends and potential customer pain points, and use this to prioritize and inform how to improve the product. Go back to the data when needed to answer questions.
  • Measure success. Own the measures used to define success for your product. Make measures visible to all stakeholders and interpret them into actionable conclusions and new hypotheses.

Skills and requirements

  • 3-5+ years of product management experience with demonstrated ability to discover opportunities and define and deliver products.
  • Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions as well as other CI/CD solutions such as Jenkins, GitLab, CircleCI, Travis CI, or Azure DevOps
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills coupled with a high level of comfort communicating effectively across multiple stakeholder groups and senior leadership
  • Great problem solving skills around technical, product, and business scenarios
  • Strong analytical skills; experience defining and managing KPIs; ability to utilize data to produce a narrative on the team’s work efforts, successes, and challenges; ability to build dashboards, presentations, and reports for key stakeholders and senior leadership
  • Able to coordinate with teams across locations and time zones

Responsibilities:

Providing solutions to customer challenges: The primary responsibility of this role is to understand the goals of our customers and to help them create a solution. Success in this role is marked by a strong focus on the customer and solving customer challenges. You will learn the customers’ pain points and work collaboratively with the customer, GitHub team members, and potentially the open source community to find solutions.

Provide technical clarity: You will need to provide clarity to your customers regarding an array of technologies. You will need to understand GitHub’s tools and platform well enough to weigh critical technical solutions in order to help your customers make informed decisions, striving to create high-quality, reusable solutions for customers. Collaborating closely with colleagues, often pairing, is essential to creating great solutions.

Demonstrate Leadership in helping customers define their success criteria for their improvement initiatives involving GitHub.

Track and share progress with GitHub and our customer to ensure expectations are clear and progress is being made toward achieving improvement goals.

Build tailored solutions: GitHub is often the central platform our customers use to ship software to their own end users and customers. This role requires active participation in building these solutions. This may be migrating source code to GitHub from legacy source control systems, creating pipelines for Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery, or even helping to automate the provisioning of infrastructure using IaaS tools such as Puppet, Chef, or CloudFormation. The challenges for each customer will differ, offering endless opportunities to grow.

Qualifications:

  • 3-7 years of solid experience in Software Development or DevOps
  • Strong skills in Bash and Ruby and/or JavaScript/Typescript for scripting and automation development
  • In-depth knowledge of the Git version control system
  • Familiarity with the GitHub platform and associated workflows
  • Great problem solving skills around technical, product, and business questions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Collaborative and team oriented
  • Able to coordinate with teams across locations and time zones

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Software Development or DevOps
  • 3-5 years experience in a customer facing role
  • Experience developing roadmaps for DevOps adoption including defining critical success criteria and measurements
  • Experience in working within a vendor organization
  • Familiarity with legacy version control systems, such as SVN, TFS, ClearCase, AccuRev, etc
