This is a US based- Remote position.

Illumix is an AR technology and media company that empowers the creation of AR-first experiences. We’ve done the heavy lifting to build the underlying capabilities and user interactions that make building any dynamic AR experience effortless.

The ideal UI/UX Designer for this role thrives with undefined challenges and plays a critical role in the team’s collaborations. You will partner with Creative, Product, and Engineering to create meaningful user experiences and interactions.

You will assist in being a champion for the team’s ideas and help to turn those ideas into reality.

You will join projects at varying stages of production, ranging from rapid prototyping to delivering performant and scalable production assets ready for integration. This role requires a passion for human centric design, user empathy, product awareness, and production of visually spectacular content while also navigating technical demands.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design user experiences that provide value to a wide range of products on web and mobile devices
  • Create engaging user experiences and present ideas to stakeholders in the form of user stories, interactive prototypes, wireframes, and refined mockups
  • Collaborate with Artists and Engineers to help bring your vision to life
  • Ability to design for multiple projects simultaneously

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years of experience working on game or interactive UI art and design
  • Deep understanding of user experience design and UI aesthetics for web and mobile
  • Strong graphic design fundamentals – including typography, iconography, composition, and style
  • Passion for creating new and engaging user experiences for AR
  • Proficiency using Adobe suite and Figma

Industry Dive is seeking a Design Project Manager to join our Brand & Marketing Design team. The Design PM will report to the Design Operations Manager, Brand & Marketing Design.

You will join a team of skilled visual designers to triage project requests, balance staff workloads and work with stakeholders to shepherd projects across the finish line. We are looking for someone who is highly organized, with a can-do attitude and commitment to excellent design.

What you can bring to the table

  • 2+ years relevant experience in a project manager role in a creative or design agency environment
  • Self-motivated, self-sufficient, and highly responsive
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organization skills and highly process-oriented
  • Strong track record of successfully managing numerous creative projects and solving complex problems
  • Ability to strategically and diplomatically approach stakeholder negotiation, especially negotiation of deadlines and deliverable expectations
  • Strong attention to detail and thorough, fast reviews of designed collateral
  • Experience working with project management software
  • Familiarity and/or working experience within the production of marketing campaigns, events, printed collateral, presentations, websites, and other marketing materials
  • A plus: Experience managing and/or working with design freelancers
  • A plus: Skills in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign or other design software to make basic edits autonomously (e.g. correct a typo or insert an image)

Responsibilities

  • Shepherd design projects from initial request to finish line – e.g. field requests, assess timelines, review creative briefs and ensures delivery by deadline
  • Create and manage tasks and timelines using project management tools like Jira, Confluence, and Asana
  • Assist with the implementation of new processes
  • Organize and maintain design asset file structure
  • Conduct thorough and fast reviews of designed collateral to ensure each piece adheres to brand guidelines and meets our quality standards
  • Proactively communicate project updates to Design Operations Manager, designers, and other stakeholders
  • Coordinate stakeholder reviews and escalate any issues to your manager
  • Troubleshoot issues and remove blockers to keep projects moving forward
  • Manage contractor relationships to deliver design collateral, pay invoices, and proof projects
  • Help onboard new designers and smoothly embed them in workflow

The salary range for this role is $59,000 – $75,000 based on experience.

Job Description

Our Global Data & Analytics team is the hub of harvesting and analyzing data to drive strategic, customer-centric business decisions for our brands. By collaborating with partners across a broad variety of business functions, associates on our D&A team provide recommendations that allow our teams to push boundaries and stay at the forefront of retail trends.

As our data and technology capabilities continue evolving, D&A will need to play a consultative role in helping the business understand WHY and HOW machine learning and AI can benefit the organization and WHERE these techniques can be leveraged to drive value.

This individual will be the liaison between the business and the Data Science functions to ensure business opportunities are being properly captured and translated into technical requirements for development of ML models and applications.

What Will You Be Doing?

  • In this role, the individual will be responsible for managing the end-to-end lifecycle of all data science models AND applications. This includes:
    1. Works with business functions (marketing, customer, merchandising, planning, digital product, supply chain, etc.) to understand business needs, assess/vet opportunities and identify problems best suited to be solved by data science solutions
    2. Manages stakeholder requests, gathers requirements, conducts initial t-shirt sizing around level of impact (LOI) and level of effort (LOE); prioritizes requests into data science product roadmap; collaborates with data science managers to ensure successful execution
    3. Follows industry trends in retail data analytics/machine learning practices; contributes ideas and actively participates in POC’s of new technologies
    4. Works with data science managers to design solutions, including but not limited to:
      • Conducts research & discovery to identify viable options to solve business challenges
      • Identifies which data sources are required to solve the problem
      • Identifies which data sources exist vs. what may need to be sourced externally
      • Recommends analytics/modeling techniques that are best suited to solve for business needs
    5. Briefs data scientists and/or data engineers, providing requirements & specifications for development
    6. Reviews development / model outputs to ensure alignment back to requirements
    7. Manage project progress and delivery milestones
    8. Provides detailed stories on key insights, findings, and recommendations in a digestible and actionable manner to stakeholders and leadership through polished presentations.
    9. If application is developed, works with business to provide training, support and ongoing maintenance

What Do You Need To Bring?

  • Bachelor’s degree required (master’s preferred) in disciplines related to data science, data analytics, mathematics or engineering, or other fields of science/technology
  • 5-7 years working in a consultative role within the data, analytics, and technology domain
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience using SQL, Python and or R to wrangle data and develop models
  • Strong understanding of data science concepts and their applications to the business (Regression, Decision Trees, Clustering, Classification methods, Optimization Methods, etc.)
  • Basic understanding of data engineering concepts
  • Ability to simplify complexed technical topics and distill down for a business audience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized; proven ability to effectively multitask between several projects and competing priorities in a dynamic business environment
  • Strong networking, interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Experience operating in an agile environment, operating in sprints, and leading standups
