We are looking for a creative, customer-focused problem solver who has strong communication skills, a software engineering mindset, and enthusiasm for new technology. In this role you will perform root cause analysis and help resolve customer issues, and create tooling to improve resolution times, monitoring, and reporting.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work closely with other engineers to identify and resolve complex customer issues in an expedited manner and develop processes to quickly resolve similar cases.
  • Partner with Engineering, QA, and Support teams to complete the development lifecycle by sharing your research about real customer experiences to improve test methodologies, coding decisions, and support responses.
  • Ensure cloud operations and functionality are well monitored and managed.
  • Build tools to analyze system data, fix customer deployments, and patch active code.
  • Manage communications with the Support team, management, and customer advocates throughout the solution workflow.
  • Have the flexibility to change focus as incidents and priority dictate, and have the follow through needed to solve back-burnered issues.
  • Troubleshoot and suggest solutions to improve performance and scale bottlenecks.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science, engineering, or information technology.
  • Experience with testing, supporting, deploying, or developing large-scale enterprise and SaaS applications.
  • Strong experience with the Linux toolchain, C, Python, Javascript, SQL, and shell scripting languages.
  • Hands on experience with cloud infrastructure, services, and tooling, such as AWS, GCP, and Azure.
  • Excellent communication skills with internal and external customers.
  • Experience with product-development life cycles and handling customer product concerns.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • 3 years professional software experience in a Unix-based environment.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP networking.
  • Familiar with managing and maintaining container technologies for high availability and scale.
  • Knowledge of building scalable and high-performance software applications and systems.
  • Familiarity with embedded systems or other systems-level development.
  • Solid understanding of the OSI model and excellent working knowledge of the key protocols from Layer 2 through Layer 7 including ARP, IP, TCP, UDP, and HTTP.

All R&D Employees will be required to attend 2 mandatory in-person events every year of approx. 4 days duration.

About the role:

The Mobile Experience team is responsible for our mobile application platforms, upon which other internal teams build customer-facing features. Our team has three primary areas of ownership:

  • Core mobile infrastructure like our React Native app container, build systems for iOS & Android, metrics collection, and release management tools
  • App-wide user experiences like login, app settings, and navigation.
  • Shared cross-app UI components and frameworks like push notifications and in-app workflows.

In this role, you will:

  • Propose, design, implement, and document shared components/frameworks for use across multiple applications within our ecosystem.

Minimum requirements for the role:

  • 2+ years of relevant industry experience in software development
  • An interest in growing and developing as a software engineer

  • 1+ years of experience on mobile- or platform-focused teams
  • 1+ year building web applications using React or mobile applications using either native (iOS/Android) or React Native frameworks

Samsara’s Compensation Philosophy: Samsara’s compensation program is designed to deliver total compensation (based on role, level, and geography) that is above market. We do this through our base salary + bonus/variable + restricted stock units (RSUs). RSUs are awarded at hire and may be refreshed annually. Additionally, as a pay-for-performance company, there are additional RSU grant awards for top performers which allow employees to achieve higher market positioning.

The Senior Project Manager, Business Operations will play a key role by managing high-priority company objectives and documenting company processes. We are seeking a talented Marketing Communications Specialist to join InsideTrack’s marketing team and focus on supporting strategic storytelling and analytical reporting communications as it relates to our key partnerships with Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCUs) and Predominantly Black Institutions (PBI). InsideTrack partners with nearly half of all HBCUs in the country (50+ campuses) and we are launching an HBCU coaching excellence initiative to centralize and curate insights and best practices. This marketing role will be focused on supporting that mission-aligned work, as well as other major partnerships in Operations as needed.

This new position will play a pivotal role in analyzing coaching outcomes; developing effective reports and communications; and sharing insights and best practices with institutional partners for widespread network impact. The right candidate will be grounded in marketing communication principles and enjoy digging into qualitative and quantitative data to identify key learnings and insights for the HBCU initiative’s team that can optimize the coaching experience at InsideTrack and inform the advising experience at institutions. This role will collaborate with and report to the Creative Strategy & Design Manager to align communications with our market-facing brand strategy.

Essential Job Functions:

  • A strong combination of strategic analytical skills, writing and storytelling skills is a must.
  • Experience interpreting and synthesizing data to identify key findings and overall trends.
  • Ability to listen to partnership leads, translate data and visualize qualitative information and quantitative data into compelling narratives that showcase trends, opportunities, insights and ultimately best practices.

The opportunity – Demand Generation Manager (Remote – USA / CANADA)

We are seeking a talented Demand Generation Manager to develop, execute, and optimize our inbound funnel as we expand into new and existing vertical markets. As a member of the Marketing team, you will work closely with our Creative, Product Marketing, Content, and Sales teams on multi-channel campaigns that increase engagement with our database. What You’ll Have:

  • 3+ years of experience in demand generation marketing, including email marketing, paid advertising, and events.
