What we’re looking for

We are looking for a Senior Director, Web Strategy & Growth to lead the strategic direction of the SurveyMonkey website and drive growth for our rapidly scaling SaaS business. Reporting to the Vice President of Product Marketing, you will lead a team overseeing web marketing, SEO, web growth and web PMO. You will lead a team of innovative, data-driven leaders and establish our self-serve/e-commerce channel as the key driver of our success and trajectory.

You will

  • Execute a comprehensive website strategy aligned with our goals by assessing industry trends, customer needs, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for website enhancement and innovation.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the company website, ensuring it delivers an exceptional user experience, meets performance metrics, and supports lead generation and conversion goals. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to update and optimize website content, functionality, and design.
  • Lead efforts to enhance the user experience (UX) across the website, ensuring intuitive navigation, clear messaging, and streamlined processes. Conduct regular audits, analyze user data, and implement data-driven improvements to maximize customer satisfaction and engagement.
  • Build a short-term and longer-term roadmap for SEO to help deliver growth globally for SurveyMonkey. Partner with cross-functional colleagues in product, engineering, brand, research, and content to develop alignment and prioritization for SEO projects.
  • Identify areas for improvement in the customer journey, landing pages, and conversion funnels, and implement strategies to drive higher conversion rates. This will involve conducting A/B tests, usability tests, and other methods to validate hypotheses and make data-driven decisions.
  • Coordinate with the IT and development teams to ensure the website’s infrastructure, security, and performance meet industry standards. Oversee website maintenance, including bug fixes, updates, and integrations with third-party tools and platforms.
  • Partner with data analytics team to establish KPIs and monitor website performance using analytics tools. Provide comprehensive reports to senior management, highlighting key insights, trends, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Build and lead a high-performing web team, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities. Foster a collaborative and results-driven culture, promoting innovation and continuous improvement.

You have

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, computer science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience with website management, digital marketing, and UX optimization in either a high volume Product Led Growth software company or a consumer e-commerce website.
  • Experience with SEO principles, website analytics, and conversion rate optimization techniques.
  • Familiarity with web development technologies, content management systems (CMS), and website performance optimization.
  • Knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in website management and digital marketing.

Expel is looking for a director of UX to lead a high-functioning team of UX managers, product and growth designers, and technical content writers in support of our Workbench security operations platform. This role reports to the VP of product management.

To enable and support Expel’s growth, you’ll achieve scale and efficiency for UX while ensuring high quality, collaboration, culture, and retention.

You’ll also:

  • Create a UX and content vision for the product that improves analyst efficiency and customers’ time to value, unifies security concepts, allows extensibility and configurability, and promotes reuse of patterns and code.
  • Ensure our strategic priorities are well resourced for UX and content, and clearly communicate trade-offs when there are more priorities than resources.
  • Identify, hire for, and build out new competencies as neededfor example, growth design, service design, UX research, design/content ops, or service designin the United States and Ireland.
  • Create strategic design deliverables such as frameworks, strategy decks, customer journeys, visions of future experiences and evangelize these cross-product “blueprints” across teams.
  • Represent UX and user-centered thinking in budget planning, cross-functional planning, and with our customer advisory board.
  • Evangelize UX & content team wins to the organization in a way that promotes team successes consistent with stakeholder sentiment.
  • Create and maintain job descriptions and career laddering, design effective onboarding, and consistently measure & manage team and individual performance.

What you should bring with you

  • Deep experience in product design, problem framing, solving design problems, journey and service mapping.
  • Experience designing and launching new B2B products.
  • Ability to create accountability through clear expectations and regular feedback, and drive teams toward outcomes.
  • Experience leading UX quality and design operations initiatives.
  • Comfort with ambiguity; the ability to find a path forward and lead others when the way forward is unclear, risky, or complex.
  • Self-awareness, humility, resilience, and a sense of humor.
  • Exceptional listening and conflict management skills.

Education and experience

  • 10+ years experience in UX design leadership of complex products, services, and/or product suites
  • 5+ years experience managing and building a UX team, leading both managers and ICs.
  • Experience in the cybersecurity industry.
  • Experience in design leadership roles in companies at various growth stages / sizes.
  • Experience in core craft skills such as product and interaction design, workflow mapping, user research, and information architecture.
  • Experience designing and launching new B2B products.
  • Masters degree preferred.

Additional notes

The base salary range for this role is between $175,500 USD and $254,500 USD + bonus eligibility and equity.

Job Summary

With limited oversight, virtually assist customers with basic and routine level technical support needs, setting expectations to deliver professional, timely, and courteous technical support services. Has authority to escalate cases in support of resolving customer support tickets in the respective queues.

Successful employees have an Associate’s degree, 3-5 years of relevant experience and a strong working knowledge of VoIP and communication technology operating at an enterprise level. Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

  • With limited oversight, virtually assist customers with basic and routine level technical support needs, setting expectations to deliver professional, timely, and courteous technical support services. In all cases, promote a productive and positive experience with customers to ensure high quality support with a timely resolution, following company protocol and standards to resolve cases. Has authority to escalate cases in support of resolving customer support tickets in the respective queues.
  • As directed and required, provide data to support analysis of customer satisfaction metrics via use of company dashboards and scorecards. Is encouraged to make recommendations to resolve customer care case trends.
  • Perform routine duties to ensure customer accounts are updated with sensitivity based on technical support cases, following Tier II support procedures to update customer accounts in real time.
  • Customer cases are prioritized and handled quickly according to company policy and standards, and gaps are identified and as requested, constructively reviewed with the team and senior members to further the development of technical support improvement plans.
  • Participate in training and education sessions with a high level of engagement.

  • Must have entry level Salesforce experience.
