Sr. UX Designer

We are looking for a Senior UX Designer who will bring curiosity, craft, and creativity to our team. Your work will raise the UX bar across multiple platforms and help define the shopping experience on the web sites and native apps for one of the most iconic brands in the world. You will be an advocate for end-users and a strong partner with our product and engineering teams. You will help lead internal design initiatives in developing compelling solutions and well-crafted designs that feel effortless to use, driving engagement and loyalty across our global platforms. As a Sr. UX Designer you will:

  • Collaborate with Product Management, User Research, Development, Marketing, and other team members
  • Deliver usable, engaging experiences that balance user needs, business goals, and technical considerations across web and mobile platforms
  • Create clear user experience vision, user journeys, end to end-user experiences, UI specifications, wireframes, and prototypes
  • Articulate ideas and concepts and communicate them effectively for internal leaders, partners, and customers
  • Use insights, data, clear communication, and great craft to build trust in your work
  • Partner with our insights team using qualitative and quantitative user research methods to inform design decisions and unearth pain points and opportunities
  • Evangelize UX and design thinking best practices to our partners and stakeholders
  • Effectively manage multiple design projects
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and dynamic design culture

Requirements

  • 7+ years of UX/UI design experience in a modern product development environment
  • Proven track record designing successful consumer-facing experiences
  • Expert in at least one or two, and solid in the rest of the following disciplines: interaction design, information architecture, UI design, visual design, motion design, service design, storytelling, and prototyping
  • A high standard of creativity and craft and the desire to create wonderful design work that goes above and beyond expectations
  • Expertise with web and mobile technologies and their impact on the feasibility of design solution
  • Highly proficient in design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Experience facilitating design workshops
  • Four-year degree in Human-Computer Interaction, graphic design, or other relevant field
  • Strong portfolio of web and native app design that demonstrates the depth of your experience

A Typical Day:

As an engineer on Web Platform, you will work on technologies that help shape an industry-leading end to end developer experience. In this role you will:

  • Contribute across the team’s surface areas to directly move our core metrics (developer experience, developer velocity, debuggability, performance, and reliability) while reducing cost and providing new functionality to help make our team’s vision, and that of our broader org, a reality. Upcoming projects include modularizing our client observability libraries, code editor developer experience improvements, bundler enhancements, and improving CI debuggability.
  • Partner with Airbnb product teams to understand their pain points, pilot proposed solutions, and encourage adoption of tools and frameworks
  • Collaborate with a wide variety of infrastructure teams as well as support product foundation teams as they build additional capabilities on top of the team’s offerings.
  • Participate in all phases of software development from architecture/design through implementation, testing, and on-call
  • Support teammates in enabling code quality, operational excellence, and shared learning

Your Expertise:

  • 6+ years of experience in a hands-on software engineering role, including frontend web development
  • Strong expertise with TypeScript/JavaScript
  • Strong communication skills and experience working closely with other engineering teams across complex interfaces

The Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Test Specialist works with a team of engineers and testers to provide test execution and quality assurance services. This position may oversee various types and levels of resources while regularly interfacing with development management, project management, and other project participants.

What you’ll be working on:

  • Managing a remote team of mental health providers (Therapists, Care Managers and Psychiatrists) and ensuring that the providers on your team meet our clinical standards and patient care needs
  • Guiding and supporting providers’ professional development
  • Partnering with Operations Manager to support a collaborative, positive provider community
  • Managing communication, with context, between your team, other mental health teams and primary care teams throughout the organization; represent One Medical to the local community
  • Owning specific team management and HR functions
  • Providing clinical tele-behavioral health services including the assessment, treatment planning and treatment of psychiatric concerns, psychosocial issues, and health behavior change through brief psychotherapeutic interventions
  • Participating in weekly rounds with psychiatric consultants and care managers and other mental health providers

Education, licenses, and experiences required for this role:

  • Must be currently licensed to practice independently in California. (Clinical Psychologist and LCSW, licensure only)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing independently
  • Minimum of two years overseeing a multidisciplinary team with direct people management experience
  • Experience with providing evidence based psychotherapeutic interventions/approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapies (ACT, CBT, DBT), brief interpersonal therapy and/or other evidenced short term models
  • Experience providing tele-behavioral health services
  • Interest in occasionally providing occupational professional topic presentations to various internal and external audiences
  • Willing to work in Pacific time zone
  • Willingness to be credentialed by our Health System Partner
