What your days might look like

We are seeking a passionate and experienced UX Researcher to join our growing Product Design team and play a pivotal role in understanding our users, identifying their needs, preferences, and pain points, and translating these insights into actionable improvements across our product portfolio.

As a UX Researcher you’ll:

  • Conduct in-depth qualitative and quantitative research to uncover user behaviours, motivations, and pain points, utilising methods such as interviews, surveys, and other sources of data.
  • Plan, conduct, and analyse moderated and unmoderated usability testing sessions to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of existing features and prototypes.
  • Carry out competitor analyses to provide insights that contribute to maintaining a competitive edge in the market.
  • Develop and present research findings and recommendations to stakeholders, influencing product roadmaps and design decisions.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and developers, to ensure a user-centric approach throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of user research ops documentation, insights repositories, and participant panels within the organisation.
  • Develop, deliver and report on research coaching programs, and mentor product and design team members to conduct their own impactful research.

What you will bring

  • 3+ years experience in applied product/UX research, preferably researching complex SaaS or HR tech products.
  • Strong understanding of user research methodologies, including qualitative and quantitative research methods.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to adjust research plans and approach as needed to meet project timelines and business objectives.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex research findings to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Experience with using various research tools and software (e.g. Dovetail, Userlytics, Maze, Askable, Glowfeed) is a plus.
  • Experience working in an agile environment is a plus.

You would be working as part of a global team responsible for the ongoing support, development and enhancement of the ServiceNow platform at Keywords Studios, however, you must also be happy to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Broad understanding of platform concepts and capabilities including, Server and Client-side scripting, REST APIs, Flow Designer, Portal, Integration Hub, CMDB/CSDM, Now Intelligence etc.

The experience you bring

  • 7+ years of industry or research experience with wearable systems and optical sensing/display technology, preferably in AR/VR/MR applications, and involvement in the design and development of hardware-software systems.
  • M.S (or higher) degree in Optical/Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering or related, plus 7 or more years of progressive industry experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. We are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.
  • Strong understanding of technology and product development processes, the Systems Engineering discipline, including Model-Based Systems Engineering, and how to apply these methods to accelerate system development.
