As a Technical Project manager, you will be part of the center of excellence for project management practices and be the sought-after partner for project and solutioning initiatives. The PMO team provides standards, knowledge and consulting as required in order to provide guidance on project management practices and project delivery. You will be working with several teams in the organization, ensuring optimized solution is delivered to meet the project objectives.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate estimation and solutioning of new project requests
  • Manage small to medium sized projects
  • Establish and maintain processes for managing scope during the project lifecycle, setting quality and performance standards, and assessing risks
  • Keep project execution statuses up to date in standard work tracking tools (e.g. ServiceNow) and processes, including everything from information about timelines to milestones of specifically defined deliverable.
  • Support PMO process improvement initiatives and document process workflows
  • Facilitate daily technology standups, retrospectives, and regular demo sessions.
    Track project workstreams and the flow of information, not only inside the technology department, but throughout the whole organization
    Understand the workflows and technology department processes to support on boarding for new hires

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in technology project management
  • Undergraduate degree (ideally a BS degree in Business, Operations Management or a technical field such as Engineering) OR 4+ additional years of equivalent technology project management experience
  • 3+ years in leading IT infrastructure (LAN, Network, Telecom) projects
  • 3+ years of experience facilitating working sessions with large, cross-functional teams (business, technical)
  • 3+ years of experience presenting to and managing communication with business/IT executive leadership
  • 2+ years of consistent utilizing of a project management tool such as Microsoft Project, Jira, etc.
  • 3+ years of consistent utilization of system development lifecycles such as waterfall and agile
  • Familiarity with process improvement techniques: business (Six Sigma, total quality management) and/or IT processes (i.e. SDLC, technical change management, agile management.

About the Work:

This position is on our Schedules team that supports the system of record for our care services. We facilitate the creation and management of visits and streamline the association of key data with visits (such as the care needs of the client, billing and payment info, clock-in and clock-out times, and more).

We support our care operations by answering important questions like which caregivers are available to work this visit? and how many visits in the next three days are not yet staffed? . Our team supports vertical user flows related to schedule and calendar management, as well as robust APIs to expose visit details, search visits and caregiver availability, and modify scheduled care.

Position Summary:

The Project Manager of our commercial business works closely with a cross-functional team to provide coordination and oversight of scheduled PM activities. This role will implement and manage new and existing projects in a manner consistent with Precision for Medicine’s repository mission and management philosophy by developing and maintaining logistical plans, making recommendations to clients on study designs that increase quality and efficiency.

Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to:

  • Create and manage multiple project timelines, budgets and revenue goals, resource plans, while comparing to contracted project scope(s), fully exploring new ideas that optimize quality and efficiency
  • Maintain detailed daily coordination and supervision of scheduled activities, delegating responsibilities to carry out contracted work activities as appropriate
  • Prepare daily professional communications and assist in the design of new tasks and projects for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Meet all revenue and gross margin objectives assigned to projects, project expenses and client billing
  • Be the face of the business as a communication liaison between Precision and external clients. Ensure decisions are made in keeping with customer centricity goal to exceed expectations of our client base and full service portfolios
  • Define project deliverables and work breakdown structures including task assignments and directing project activities across multiple functional areas. With this, prepare and distribute all required draft and final reports to internal and external stakeholders and functional groups
  • Ensure that work product complies with design and performance standards, regulatory environment and customer expectations. Enforce standards applicable to each step in project execution
  • Estimate, acquire and allocate human and material resources
  • Assess and mitigate technical, project and business risks
  • Stay apprised of all repository and laboratory operations (fresh, frozen, data entry, shipping, etc.), collaborating with department peers when communicating, coordinating and prioritizing activities as appropriate
  • Confirm all incoming and outgoing kit and sample shipments are tracked in a timely manner and per contract requirements
  • Review and approve all documentation associated with project(s) as required (i.e., freezer monitoring, discrepancy reports, manifests, kitting, specific project procedures, quality, etc.)
  • Coordinate and/or conduct investigations to resolve data discrepancies and reconcile data as appropriate
  • Enforce GMP/GLP/ISO/safety regulations and standards
  • Maintain and support safe lab practices and environment
  • Advise clients and collaborators on organization and status of samples, shipping procedures, and data management and reconciliation of samples in inventory

Qualifications:

Minimum Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Biology or related field
