About the Role:
As the Director of Data Science, you will build and lead our data science function that will drive the data-driven decision across our organization. This role will be critical in shaping and executing our data science strategy, overseeing data-driven projects, and guiding the team in delivering impactful insights and solutions to create stickier experiences with our customers. This fully remote position offers an opportunity to be a player coach while reporting directly to the VP of Analytics and Data Science.
You Will:
- Establish and lead the data science function, building a high-performing team from the ground up
- Create a data science roadmap that aligns with critical areas of the business and unlocks value
- Use data science methods to identify levers the business can pull to delight our customers and create sticky product experiences
- Create models to understand and help the business create improved customer journeys, better go-to-market plans, and product changes
- Provide technical guidance and thought leadership on data science methodologies, tools, and best practices
- Collaborate cross-functionally with analytics teams, engineering teams, and groups of passionate stakeholders dedicated to improving our customer experience
- Distill our knowledge of the consumer into insights, playbooks, and data visualizations to put knowledge into action and help our business make decisions better
You Have:
- 9+ years of analytics experience
- 5+ years of leading analytics and data science teams with direct reports
- Strong SQL skills
- Expert proficiency in Python or R
- Hands-on experience in statistics and machine learning, both in building and maintaining models as well as coaching and helping analysts choose the right methods to solve the problem at hand
- Advanced knowledge of data visualization and BI in Looker or Tableau
- Advanced knowledge of data models, infrastructure and data architecture
- Comfort with ambiguity, evolving priorities, and an ability to lead a team and operate autonomously
- Ability to explain technical analyses to non-technical audiences
- Strong storytelling skills with the ability to coach and teach best practices
A Big Plus If You Have:
- Extensive experience working with Data Engineering
- DBT, airflow, and Databricks experience business intelligence and data science enterprise teams in the past
- An advanced degree in Data Science or Statistics or a Ph.d in a related field

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field

Responsibilities
- Administer Salesforce.com, including data migration, customization, and system configuration. This includes maintenance, system enhancements/upgrades, creation of reports and dashboards, end-user training, and data integrations, while ensuring data hygiene and integrity.
- Collaborate with functional leaders to identify, define, and implement changes and enhancements to meet business requirements in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
- Manage all aspects of user and license management, including new user setup/deactivation, roles, profiles, permissions, public groups, OWD, and sharing rules.
- Configure Salesforce features, including Workflow, Process Builder, Flow, assignment rules, approval processes, fields, page layouts, record types, dynamic layouts, apps, actions, custom settings, mobile administration, dashboards, and reports.
- Manage sandbox environments.
- Utilize workbench to write SOQL queries and data loader when needed.
- Identify and gather requirements, translating them into best practice, scalable solutions with a focus on exceptional user experience.
- Design and create custom reports and dashboards to provide business insights
- Configure and maintain custom objects, record types, fields, page layouts, formulas, data validation rules, triggers, custom workflows, approval processes, installed packages, etc. within Salesforce.com.
- Establish and implement change control and best practices with regards to system maintenance, configuration, development, testing, and data integrity.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data integrity and operational reliability of our business analytics and processes.

The success and effectiveness of our engineering teams is the most critical factor in delighting our members with Maven. As a Lead Product Manager on the Core Platform and Services team, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex developer infrastructure and services projects from start to finish. Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience
- 7+ years of experience in program management

For candidates in NYC, CA or CO, the salary range for this role is $165,000 – $245,000 per year. You may also be entitled to receive stock options, and benefits. Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, and skillset.

- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure consistency in messaging and branding across all channels, as well as optimization for user experience across channels.
- Stay up-to-date with social media trends and best practices to continually improve the company’s social media presence
- Launch new social media accounts as needed (i.e. TikTok)

What you bring to the team:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
