The Product Manager II is the central team hub supporting strategic and tactical product activities. They are responsible for establishing and communicating the product’s long-term vision and strategy and how it supports and achieves the client’s goals and initiatives. This role closely aligns with the Product Owner’s and the client’s strategic plans. They conduct thorough problem identification, product planning, client expectation management, competitive analysis, user story creation, and backlog management. Responsibilities and Contributions

Organizational and Leadership Role

  • Guides the team, customer, and end users to build a product vision, roadmap, and strategy
  • Aligns client stakeholders
  • Translates roadmaps and visions into user stories and epics.

Functional Role

  • Develops, communicates, and executes long-term product vision and strategy
  • Creates the product roadmap to help clients formulate, prioritize, and implement short and long-term planning
  • Manages the discovery phase to ensure proper problem identification validation
  • Effectively manages stakeholder communication and ensures stakeholder requirements, business needs, and user needs are aligned
  • Serves as a consultant to client product owners on backlog prioritization, epic/feature/use case/user story creation, identifying user personas, and acceptance criteria.
  • Partners with clients to develop and monitor strategies for user adoption, cost savings, and informing product decisions
  • Creates value propositions and partners with stakeholders to establish Minimum Viable Product (MVP)
  • Identifies and communicates risks, business opportunities, and dependencies to the client
  • Builds and maintains strong working relationships with the client, team members, and partner organizations
  • Coaches and serves as a subject matter expert for client product owners.

Overview

The Orders team at Recharge is responsible for several services core to our business, including Order Generation & Syncing, Discounts, Shipping, and Taxes. Given the importance of these services, the Orders team is critical to the success of Recharge, our merchants, and their customers. Initiatives for this team are carefully selected and given the time, focus, and resources to ensure success in a predictable manner.

In this role, you will lead a team of engineers to build, maintain, and improve these services. As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for driving your team in planning and developing world-class features and working with individuals to grow in their careers. You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with Staff & Principal Engineers in the Core Commerce organization to drive Engineering Initiatives. Major responsibilities include daily management and postings to key SM accounts, in particular, Twitter/X, Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, and Threads; including active SM engagement and monitoring of conversations with supporters and influencers; design of SM graphics and visuals; development of SM strategies to support the goals of Communications and other departments; tracking, analysis, and reporting of SM metrics, and experimentation and evaluation of new SM tools.

Responsibilities

Daily Management of Social Media Accounts (60%)

  • Create daily social media content, process social media requests, and adapt rapid-fire communication tactics for organization’s social media channels, in particular Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
  • Monitor breaking news and coordinate rapid responses on social media with Program Communications. Work on call after hours and weekends to provide guidance and create content for rapid response moments in cases of emergency.
  • Work with Communications, Development, and Program staff to manage social media calendar, including coordination and scheduling of major advocacy campaigns.
  • Engage with supporters on SM when warranted, including answering questions, driving comments, and guiding discussions.

Development of Social Media Strategies (30%)

  • Participate in Creative team and Communication meetings to generate ideas for storytelling and content creation.

  • Work with the Digital Fundraising and Engagement team to implement organic and paid promotional strategies for major fundraising campaigns.

  • Work with Program Comms teams to map out distinct priorities and coalesce into a broader schedule/calendar.
  • Monitor trends of peer organizations and general social media to look at environmental news trends, stylistic trends, and platform trends (especially as more platforms like Threads and Bluesky gain popularity).

Evaluation and Metrics (10%)

  • Use data tools and platforms to identify and track key performance metrics.
  • Compile reports on best-performing social media posts; make strategic recommendations to improve our program.
  • Stay informed on the latest social media trends and share knowledge with wider Communications team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) with a major in communications, design, computer science, marketing, political science, or environmental studies preferred.
  • Experience with marketing, communications, design and advocacy a plus.
  • In-depth experience managing organizational social media accounts, especially Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. Strong familiarity with other SM platforms, such as Reddit and Twitch.

    • Minimum 8-10 years of industry experience in Information Security, Technical Program, Project Management, or Risk Management
  • Proven ability to develop structure, advance execution, and measure performance within various and complex projects, teams, and environment
