The Software Engineer will be heavily involved in developing business solutions by creating new and modifying existing software applications. This role is a primary contributor in designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting, and supporting all types of applications consistent with established specifications and business requirements to deliver business value. Additionally, the candidate in this position will perform code reviews, develop innovative approaches to database development, and serve as an expert within the organization with regard to SQL and database development.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop advanced queries and stored procedures using T-SQL
- Design and develop systems that meet defined business requirements
- Independently analyze and solve complex problems
- Write and maintain SSIS packages
- Support the team for application availability, reliability, and stability
- Conduct or facilitate root cause analysis on all in-scope incidents and recommend a corrective action plan
- Conduct code review to ensure the work delivered by the team is of high quality
- Checks, instructs, and otherwise functionally directs junior developers in order to achieve desired end-results on complex problems
- Maintain knowledge base of the latest advances in SQL Server and other data technologies
- Provide expertise in SQL in addition to general development principles
- Interpret detailed business requirement documents and translate to actionable development processes

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field (4 additional years of comparable work experience beyond the required years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor’s degree)
- 3+ years of development and testing experience on main programming languages such as C#, ASP.NET, Java, or Python
- 3+ years of SDLC experience
- 3+ years of experience with ETL using SSIS packages
- 3+ years of experience writing in T-SQL
- 2+ years of experience of major software systems implementation experience
- Experience using MS Visual Studio, MS SQL Server
- SQL Tuning experience
- Experience in data migrations, manipulations, and reporting for end user consumption
- Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud-based solutions
