What You’ll Do

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or a related discipline
  • 4+ years of experience in building Django applications
  • Knowledge in Python, with the ability to build efficient REST API using Django REST Framework
  • Knowledge of scheduling framework or event-driven programming in Django.
  • The ability to naturally follow good development practices like test automation, CI/CD, source version control, GitHub, etc.
  • Experience in designing scalable micro-services required
  • Experience with applications that have scaled
  • Understanding of the threading limitations of Python, and multi-process architecture
  • Good understanding of server-side templating languages
  • Knowledge of user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
  • Understanding of fundamental design principles (including MVC)
  • Good hands-on experience in working on a scalable AWS environment

An overview of this role

The FP&A team partners with executive team members across the company to provide timely, fact-based, data-driven decision support to help drive critical decisions. The team drives annual planning, owns the operating plan and long-term financial model, internal financial reporting, and financial and analytical tools to make GitLab predictable.

As a Financial Analyst, you’ll work closely with, and support, the global Sales team across multiple departments including Enterprise Sales, Commercial Sales, and Customer Success.

What you’ll do

  • Business Partnership: Support team with business strategy, go to market, functional strategy, spending initiatives, ad hoc financial analysis and monthly, quarterly and annual planning. Begins to build relationships with select cross-functional partners.

What you’ll bring

  • Business Acumen: Be able to understand the business at a level to interpret Board, CFO and eGroup level priorities.
  • 1-3 years of experience in accounting, investment banking, management consulting, or finance-related role (corporate and/or operations finance). Relevant experience in Enterprise SaaS software is a plus.
  • BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics or relevant degree. Relevant certification (e.g. CFA/CPA) is a plus.
  • Financial Modeling: Be able to understand and update financial models that follow industry best practices. Expertise in Google sheets (we do not use excel for modeling purposes).
  • Business Partnership: Consistent track record of using quantitative analysis to impact key business decisions.

Job Description

The Solution Architect is the Technical Authority providing overall technical leadership for the project implementation. Works with customers to understand overall solution needs and functionality of MSI and third party applications. Takes ownership of the technical solution from pre and post-sale. Works with the project manager to develop the project deployment schedule. Identify technical risks of the projects and works with PM on mitigation plans. Identify customer expectation mismatch to how products work and works with PM on mitigation plans. Technical counterpart with the PM in third party vendor, customer, and internal facing meetings.   • 3+ years experience in working with Ruby on Rails
  • Minimum of 3 years working in an Agile software development environment
