What Required Skills You’ll Bring:
In this role, you will provide direction and management for medium to large-sized Intelligent Transportation projects and ensure on-schedule completion within or below budget in accordance with contractual obligations. The Project Manager is responsible for the scope development, scope management, and commercial performance of the project to meet project goals and objectives. Plans and defines program goals and devises methods to accomplish them; develops in-depth knowledge of client objectives, contract terms, and corporate policies. Typical projects range up to $30 million in total installed cost.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Acts as the Company representative with the client and selected subcontractors during the program execution. Negotiates changes to the scope of work with the client and key subcontractors. Markets and secures additional work with clients.
- Responsible for following up on instructions and commitments associated with the project.
- May participate in negotiations with regulatory agencies and in public meetings in support of clients.
- Oversees establishment of Project Execution Plan, Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan, and other documents as required.
- Establishes the program requirements for all areas of the project and monitors the draft and final deliverables for adherence to these criteria. Responsible for the development and distribution of a one to two-page description of the project to all members of the project team for reference.
- Plans, directs, supervises, and controls the execution of all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the assigned project. Assigns responsibility for executing project plans to key subordinates after careful assessment of how to utilize their qualifications and strengths. Provides input to performance reviews and development plans for subordinates. Field responsibilities may include labor relations, local procurement and payroll operations, etc., if required.
- Mobilizes company resources, through liaison with support departments, other offices, or subsidiaries, to create project teams capable of completing effective, quality work. Discusses the qualifications required of the key project positions in specific detail with the profit center and department managers. Collaborates with the office facilities staff to address project space requirements.
- Works with other managers, project engineers, and discipline leads to develop budgets, schedules, and plans for the various elements of a project. Ensures that the project meets or exceeds the goals established in these plans.
- Works with the key project individual to devise and execute action plans to rectify potential cost overruns or delays, or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of work. Advises the client and company management of any such changes. The Project Manager is specifically responsible for maintaining current and timely change orders.
- Promotes technical and commercial excellence on the project through the application of Quality Assurance processes. Monitors and reports to management on the progress of all project activity within the program, including significant milestones, and any conditions, which would affect project cost or schedule. Establishes weekly meetings to review project status and formulate action items.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical/business field and typically 12+ years of related work experience is required.

Who We Want
The Authenticity Agent’s main responsibilities center around monitoring large volumes of user generated content (UGC) with respect to fraudulent activity. Agents use a case management system to identify and research content for fraudulent behavior and take appropriate actions against this content. The Authenticity Agent will have strong analytical skills and the ability to learn quickly and investigate trends independently. The agent works with high volumes of UGC activity relating to the prevention and detection of Fraud/Spam.
This is a part-time hourly position done from home; the base pay is $14 per hour with the opportunity to earn more after the second month. You MUST reside in one of these states: AZ, AR, CO, FL, GA, IL, IN, IA, KS, KY, MD, MI, MN, MS, NE, NM, NC, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, RI, TN, TX, UT, VT, VA or WI.
This position will start on Monday, December 4, 2023. All new Authenticity Agents MUST be available to virtually attend and actively participate in various training activities December 4 through 8, 2023, between the hours of 8am – 3pm Central.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Ability to detect online fraud trends in a traditional E-Commerce type environment
- Monitoring content flagged for risk via case management system
- Analyze/Research flagged content including historical trends and origin
- Conduct additional research to validate UGC
- Maintain appropriate submission and items-worked rates
- Make decisions and take appropriate actions to minimize inauthentic content

Job Description
We are looking for a senior human factors engineer who can advise on human factors best practices as well as design and execute research studies for mission critical software applications to test the efficacy of the applications and to improve the safety of software products for our users and the communities they serve. You will be hands-on with the research, including design, scheduling, and execution of human factors research studies, including remote and in-context research.
You will directly manage a small team of researchers, and as a human factors expert, the UX research team will look to you for mentorship as they develop their usability and quantitative research practice. Our team is distributed across the United States and Europe and our team works to cultivate our team culture in a virtual environment. Senior researchers are expected to participate in culture development and model our team values to create a positive, fun, and generative work environment.
We work closely with teams across the organization to understand research objectives, business priorities, as well as the platform, architecture and manufacturing constraints in order to design studies that deliver actionable insight. The ability to develop collaborative relationships with partners in design, product, and engineering is essential.
This role is US based. Though the UX team is concentrated in Chicago, other locations will be considered.
Basic Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Human Factors Engineering, Human Factors Psychology, Usability Engineering, Human Computer Interaction, Human Centered Design Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- At least 7 years of experience conducting human factors research in a mission-critical or safety-critical industry (e.g., public safety, automotive, aviation, medical/biomedical)
- At least 2 years of experience directly managing junior researchers
- Proficiency in the diverse toolkit of user experience research, including qualitative and quantitative approaches such as heuristic analysis, survey research, moderating focus groups, in-depth interviews, concept and prototype testing and usability testing.
- Ability to identify research goals based on ambiguous problem statements
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously across distributed or remote teams
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and data visualization
- Proven ability to present research findings and recommendations to all levels of partners, including executive management
- An ability to stay abreast of current and emergent technologies and incorporate them into the strategic direction of products or product design
- Demonstrated understanding of UX design principles
