We are seeking a Project Manager/Lead in within our Functional Service Provider Team. This role will be hired at Project Manager OR Senior Project Manager level depending on experience). This role is for the North America region and is remote based.
The PL Is accountable for the overall delivery of the project (quality, time, cost) on behalf of the organization. This individual manages all aspects of assigned clinical trials as well as the study project plan, including timeline, budget, and vendors. Establishes and communicates customer expectations to the project team with minimal direction. Ensures that escalation pathways are adhered to internally and externally. Leads the cross-functional project team to meet or exceed deliverables. Manages project(s) of increasing complexity (such as but not limited to: multi-service, multi-region/country, therapeutic complexity, financial scope).
A day in the Life:
- Serves as the primary contact and lead between the sponsor and the organization at the project level.
- On projects where the scope requires, ensures clear delineation in responsibilities and communication pathways for secondary project leads (such as lead in a specific region, lead for a specific vendor(s) or subset of delivery).
- Drives and owns the overall delivery of the cross-functional project (time, cost, quality).
- Ensures financial stewardship at a project level by demonstrating an intimate understanding of the contract, resource alignment to budget, management of Out of Scope activity, drive the Con Mod process/negotiations and team execution to timelines.
- Establishes, communicates and manages customer expectations to achieve optimal delivery during the project.
- Ensures project team compliance with organization policies, SOPs, ICH- GCP, regulatory and project specific requirements.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
Experience
- Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job
- Project Manager role: Minimum of 3-5 years experience in clinical research with at least 1-2 years experience in study management preferred
- Senior Project Manager: Minimum of 6+ years experience in clinical research with at least 4 years experience in study management with strong experience with study phases I-IV, global trials, and with complex trial designs. Rare disease study management is recommended
- Proven leadership skills
- Experience in management of: CROs, vendors and consultants
- Documented training, knowledge and application of current FDA/EU Regulations, GCP & ICH guidelines for patient registries and studies

We are seeking aLead Implementation Manager, independently motivated and ready to make our high-functioning Implementation Team even better. As a Lead Implementation Manager, you will be our new customers primary contact, overseeing the onboarding process from end-to-end. This is a multi-faceted set of responsibilities including requirements gathering, configuration of our SaaS products to meet those requirements, carrying out basic project management activities, and ensuring a smooth transition from sales to adoption. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, product management, customer success, and technical support, to deliver exceptional client experiences and drive customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Onboarding: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during the onboarding process. Conduct kickoff meetings, gather business processes and resulting requirements, and provide expert guidance on best practices for implementing and configuring our SaaS products to meet their unique needs.
- Project Management: Carry out basic project management activities, notably that the work you are delivering falls within the scope of the implementation, that there are well planned & reliable communications, that you continuously evaluate points of risk and opportunity, and providing customer advice and assistance with their change management.
- Product Configuration: Customize system settings, workflows, and integrations to align with client requirements while using out-of-the-box functionality to minimize customizations whenever possible. Depending on the product you may also:
- Work extensively in Excel to prepare data and carry out initial data load;
- Write simple scripts;
- Author ad hoc reports on behalf of the customer.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, product management, customer success, and technical support teams to ensure a seamless transition from the sales cycle to adoption. Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders, using effective communication to influence product design and customer life-cycle to deliver a coherent, high quality, client experience.
- Training and Documentation: Engage the project team to develop and deliver comprehensive training sessions to educate clients on the features and functionalities of our SaaS products. Create and maintain implementation documentation, user guides, and knowledge base articles to support clients throughout the onboarding process ensuring the customers complete adoption of their product.
- Issue Resolution: Identify and address implementation challenges, working closely with internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly. Escalate complex problems to appropriate departments and provide timely updates to clients, ensuring their concerns are addressed effectively.
- Continuous Improvement: Actively contributes to the enhancement of implementation processes and methodologies.
- Leadership: Lead a team of Implementation Managers to ensure successful onboarding of new customers and delivery of professional services. Act as the primary point of escalation, providing guidance, coaching, and development to enable the team’s success. Foster a collaborative and supportive environment, empowering team members to excel in their roles and deliver exceptional service to our customers. In the absence of the direct manager, temporarily assume their responsibilities as needed.
- Data Management: Assist in collecting, tracking, and reporting on various data sets and metrics. Continuously conduct data analysis to enhance support for business requirements, ensuring informed decision-making and optimization of processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Computer Science, Information Systems) or equivalent practical experience.
- 4+ years of experience in a client-facing implementation role, preferably in the SaaS industry.
- Advanced understanding of software implementation processes, methodologies, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport, effectively collaborate with clients and internal teams, and be able to take the lead in a workshop environment.
- Technical aptitude- the ability to quickly learn and navigate new software applications, and the ability to identify and address implementation challenges effectively.
- Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills high comfort level with Excel is a plus.
- Design and documentation of reports generated from relational databases ability to author reports (SSRS or PowerBI) a significant plus.
- Experience with CRM, ERP, or other enterprise software implementations, particularly GovTech, is a plus.
- Familiarity with Autotask, Asana, or similar software for project tracking and time management is a plus.

Your future team and role
The Central AI teams vision is to accelerate AI innovation across Atlassian by building the core infrastructure, key capabilities and experiences. The Central AI team is building some core AI experiences, especially in the conversational AI space that leverage Atlassians key strength – the understanding of our customers’ work and the different connections. We are in very early stages of building these experiences. We expect a lot of exploration, experimentation, validation of hypotheses through customer research to figure out the right solutions i.e. AI experiences for the problems our customers are facing. Once this initial problem-solution fit is established, wed then take these products to a larger set of customers working with cross-functional teams for go to market narratives, pricing, packing, support enablement and so on.
As the Principal Product Manager for this area, you will initially focus on building the right thing i.e. figure out what are these key experiences thatll solve customer problems. Then focus on building the thing right i.e. how we build those for a larger customer base across different touch points with the right polish and finesse, how they in fit with the larger product portfolio and how we take them to market. Basically, lead through the entire cycle covering conception, validation, launch and scale. This is awesome opportunity to not only do something ground-breaking from scratch, but also play a vital role in shaping the evolution of AI at Atlassian and in the industry. You will report to the Group Product Manger for Central AI in this role
What you’ll do
- Take existing ideas and concepts AI experiences or come up with new ones around, flesh them out and figure out the problem-solution fit through exploration, experimentation and validation with customers.
- Move fast to validate the beliefs and hypotheses by working closely with design and engineering internally and with customers externally. You have a keen eye for capturing key insights from customers, read signals from movements in the market and use them to make directionally correct decisions to progress faster.
- Work with broader cross-functional teams on go to market, pricing and packaging, customer support to take these offerings to the market.
- You will build relationships and work very closely with other Product Managers and teams across Atlassian to identify opportunities for collaboration, influence where needed and accelerate bringing new AI experiences to market.
Your background:
- 8+ years of Product Management experience. You have strong recent experience in shipping AI products with heavy UX focus in the Enterprise SaaS space. Experience of shipping conversational AI products would be a huge plus.
- You have a deep commitment to user experience and delight, with an strong understanding of what exceptional UX entails. You are able to demonstrate this through the products you have shipped in the AI space.
- You have a strong experimentation mindset and have an experience of figuring the right solution and approach through iterative experimentation and learning. Experience of working in growth and/or experience of shipping 0-1 stage product would be a huge plus.
- You are able to make strong progress at a fast pace and carry others along with you in an environment with lot of ambiguities, multiple opinionated stakeholders in a space thats moving quite fast externally as well. You have clear beliefs and hypotheses, you are able articulate them well, paint a good picture of what success looks like and rally people around it.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You can engage with ease with your direct team members, cross-functional stakeholders as well as with execs.
