Online Communications Manager

JOB SUMMARY
The Online Communications Manager is a member of the Marketing and Communications team. He/she/they collaborates closely with all members of the digital team to reach the team’s key goals. These include increasing engagement across all digital channels, growing the supporter list with more donors and activists, and supporting the Marketing and Communications team with all ongoing campaigns. The Online Communications Manager will execute strategies across various digital channels, manage projects with multiple team members, and assist with other marketing efforts as needed.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Jointly plan, execute, and report on campaigns across all social media channels, which includes creating original content, cultivating relevant influencers, maintaining community engagement,
planning an ongoing content calendar, and executing campaigns across Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, Threads, Tik Tok, YouTube, etc.
• Help ensure our website remains timely and engaging by assisting with ongoing content strategy implementation, including: creating, editing, and/or posting new content (blog posts, press releases, staff bios, volunteer forms, etc.).
• Help create and execute a new short-form video strategy, including content planning, recording and editing.
• Produce compelling social media content and graphics
• Assist with drafting advocacy Action Alerts and other email communications, including regional dispatches, newsletters, fundraising appeals, and general engagement emails.
• Manage the development and implementation of various online projects as needed, from idea generation and planning to final content creation and production.
• Represent the Digital and/or Communications teams in meetings with internal or external partners.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of high profile national campaigns, including America’s Most Endangered Rivers®, River of the Year, and State of America’s RiversSM .
• Utilize analytical tools to help develop, analyze and report on benchmark KPIs. Provide regular reports to staff and stakeholders.
• Work with the Director of Marketing on promoting American Rivers’ online store.
• Work with regional staff to increase their opportunities for storytelling, increase performance of
their content, and ensure timely, strategic communications to their online audiences, tracking progress and deliverables as needed.
• Works with the Associate Director, Digital Fundraising and other Development team members to plan and execute fundraising campaigns.
• Creates regular reporting and touchpoints for various staff members.
• Assists staff with digital adjacent needs, including url creation, video processing, direct mail production, and webinar promotion.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in online communications, online advocacy or web content production, or a specialized degree equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of and experience with social media platforms (Facebook, X, Instagram, Tik Tok, LinkedIn, YouTube) and the emerging trends with content and engagement across these platforms.
• Experience with video creation and light graphic design.
• Working knowledge of current video practices for social channels and video editing best practices.
• Experience leading digital marketing campaigns and advocacy outreach.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment, and strong attention to detail.
• Experience working with popular CMS, CRM, and advocacy tools: WordPress, Engaging Networks, ActBlue, EveryAction, etc. HTML and CSS experience a plus.
• Proficiency with photo editing software (Adobe, Canva, or similar). A deeper body of work in graphic design is a big plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Must be detail-oriented, highly organized, with strong time and budget skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize competing tasks and meet deadlines.
• High energy, flexible, self-motivated, and the ability to work professionally with staff at all levels of the organization, in person and remotely.
• Familiarity with non-profit organizations and a commitment to conservation preferred.

The Product Design team at Huntress is driven by our mission to deliver cybersecurity to the 99%, and our process reflects that. As the Senior Design Manager for our Platform, you will lead design efforts on the Huntress Platform, which intuitively ties together all of our products and services in an easy-to-use way. Role Overview:
As the Director, Product Design, you shape the future of our platform by driving new initiatives and setting a high standard of excellence across the core product design organization.
