What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for a curious, detail-obsessed, and determined team player with a strong background in writing. Reporting to the VP of Brand and Communications, the Content Marketing Director will build and drive a small but mighty team of content specialists and content writers to scale the next phase of Insider’s growth. Do we have your attention? Good. The successful candidate (maybe you!) will be part of the marketing leadership team and will be responsible for owning the direction, development, and execution of Insider’s content strategy in line with the company goals. They will also collaborate and work in lockstep with other teams, such as Design, Digital, Product Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and more. 

Responsibilities & Skills:

  • Define and lead Insider’s global content strategy to drive brand awareness, thought leadership, and demand generation.
  • Develop a content roadmap that aligns with Insider’s business objectives and supports multiple marketing initiatives and channels, including organic, paid, events, and social.
  • Be visible within the company and champion our content across 28+ countries
  • Lead and mentor a small team of content writers, content specialists, and freelancers, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and high performance.
  • Collaborate with product marketing, demand generation, brand, and sales teams to create content that engages target personas throughout the customer journey.
  • Oversee the creation of diverse content types from: blog posts, whitepapers, reports, videos, case studies, and more.
  • Develop and execute a thought leadership strategy that amplifies the voices of our leadership team and industry experts.
  • Analyze content performance, optimize for SEO, and continuously refine strategies based on data-driven insights.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and best practices in MarTech, customer experience, AI, and B2B SaaS.
  • Must be willing to roll up your sleeves and pick up your hypothetical pen.
  • Be responsible for the end-to-end content marketing process, working closely with other department leaders to increase efficiency and drive quality.

Requirements and Skills

  • 8+ years of experience in Content Marketing with at least 3 years in a leadership role, preferably within the MarTech industry.
  • Have a passion for writing with an impeccable editorial eye.
  • Exceptional storytelling skills and the ability to craft compelling narratives across multiple formats.
  • Strong leadership experience with a track record of managing and growing high-performing content teams.
  • Experience working closely with executive leaders, product marketing, sales, and demand generation teams.
  • Deep understanding of SEO.
  • Well-versed in best practices and content performance analytics.
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Passionate about customer experience and the intersection of technology and AI
  • Extremely comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Able and willing to work outside of typical working hours to collaborate with senior stakeholders and manage projects across the globe.
  • Proven ability to work well with senior leaders, including working flexibly, managing urgencies, and receiving feedback.
