We are seeking Staff level engineers ready to thrive in the new AI-driven development environment. We will take a different approach to onboarding. Selected candidates will begin with a one-week paid trial, during which they’ll complete a structured engineering project designed to evaluate your ability to build, iterate, and communicate effectively. Candidates will be expected to provide daily updates, ask a lot of questions, and demonstrate their problem-solving skills.

For candidates that excel during the one week project period, we will consider extension to a 90 day contract; as we near the end of that potential 90 day period, we will consider conversion to Full-Time Employment (FTE).

You Will:

  • Not write code; but use AI tools to write it for you. 
  • Utilize AI-driven development techniques to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Balance full-stack responsibilities, switching between frontend (client-side) and backend (server-side) development as needed.
  • Optimize for developer experience and velocity, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows.
  • Complete the project assigned by our co-founders.

You Have:

  • 5+ years experience as a software engineer. 
  • A personal gmail account and computer / laptop with internet access.
  • Familiarity with Slack for communication. 
  • Experience building and shipping a new product from scratch with real users.
  • A strong AI-driven development mindset, understanding that code is disposable and AI copilots enhance efficiency.
  • Passion for leveraging AI to automate, improve, and accelerate development.

  • Working directly with an external agency(s) to research, plan, and execute industry-leading virtual and in-person events, including conferences, webinars, dinners, workshops, and more.
  • Support our external agency(s) in managing vendors, sponsors, speakers, and internal teams to ensure seamless execution, i.e., booth set-up, breakdown, speaking engagements, etc.
  • Monitor event and content budgets, provide regular status updates, evaluate event and content success through data analysis in our HubSpot CRM, and continually strive for improvement.
  • Own the entire content strategy and collaborate with creatives to produce compelling SEO-optimized blog articles, white papers, eBooks, and visuals and videos supporting marketing efforts.

Overview

In the Network Specialist – Outside Plant Construction role, you are responsible for coordinating, planning, and supervising outside plant field construction and splicing operations in multiple locations and states. Depending upon workload you may be required to supervise consulting resources in the engineering and/or construction phase of the projects. You will be expected to work closely with representatives from Network Operations, associate managers, consultants, design engineers and construction contractors for TDS Telecom Network Services to ensure that the needs of the company are being met. You will be responsible for the implementation of fiber and HFC networks while conforming to existing TDS outside Plant (OSP) guidelines and TDS OSP standards established for the Telecom Network Services. You are expected to stay current with NESC codes and ensure our construction at all times is in NESC compliance. Depending on the area, you may be required to assist in the engineering of the OSP project. This involves creating the labor, material, and overhead project estimates.

You are expected to oversee numerous construction projects, possibly located in multiple locations and states. You will also continually monitor costs and job progress to ensure that construction projects are completed on time and within budget. You will be responsible for continually working with various governmental agencies to protect the TDS OSP network from being jeopardized by proposed road improvements. You may be required to negotiate with municipalities, other utility companies from a network and a legal perspective for the purchase, lease and/or sale of inner ducts, fiber and/or complete networks.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the coordination of OSP projects and/or supervision of consultants who are responsible for coordinating outside plant field construction and splicing operations in multiple locations and states. Provide technical support for special request projects such as major road moves or potential on-net builds. The successful candidate must work with Finance to ensure proper accounting of facilities placed and interact with the legal department to ensure that the company is not at risk in any asset transfers. If needed, assist in the engineering phase of projects. This involves creating labor, material, and overheads project cost estimates

Provide audits of OSP projects and coach consultants and/or contractors to ensure accuracy and consistency. The audits will ensure compliance with NESC standards and current TDS OSP standards

Review all required reports from field personnel and contractor invoicing for accuracy. Manage construction projects by reviewing quality of work, clean up resolution, proper maintenance of project documentation and continual review of project progress

Ensure that the TDS OSP group complies with Sarbanes-Oxley guidelines and other departments such as Network Operations, Network Planning, Rights-of-Way and Contract Administration. This position requires the conducting of pre-staking, pre-bid and pre-construction meetings as required. The successful candidate must verify that proper right-of-way, easements, and permits are obtained and designs for proper cable sizing and facility routing.

Verify that all documentation required to complete projects successfully, including bid jobs, build orders, job start agreements, VMOPs and close out documentation is complete

Qualifications

Advance Local is looking for a Full-Time Content Supervisor to assist the Content Manager in the planning, development and distribution of content across various digital platforms (web, mobile, social media) in support of our growing Sports Betting & iGaming business. Content is specific to sports betting, casinos, sweepstakes, and lottery.

This position will assist in the management of day-to-day story budgeting, staff schedules and other work-flow systems; day-to-day supervision of both full-time and part-time reporters, including story assignment, story editing and feedback; and performance-based metrics for team and individual employees; and will temporarily assume the role of Content Manager when needed.

The salary for this position is $70,000 – $80,000 per year. (40 hours/week)
