Position Description:
PETA is looking for a smart, organized, responsive, and creative animal advocate to assist the Multimedia Projects Manager with projects across the organization, including web content, publications, and new technology. You should be accustomed to assisting with the management of several projects at once, and have basic working knowledge of HTML, exceptional organization, an eye for design and presentation, comfort working in a fast-paced digital environment, the ability to communicate clearly with staff and vendors, and be a champion for all animals.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist the Multimedia Projects Manager in coordinating multimedia projects including standalone websites, contests, art exhibits, book releases, and more
- Post projects to PETA’s websites via WordPress, ensuring flawless presentation of text and multimedia elements
- Assist liaising with PETA’s interactive media team to coordinate stand-alone features, and report technical issues
- Help work with PETA’s Written Communications team to manage the production of long- and short-form writing, including books
- Assist with the Vice President of Content Strategy to coordinate and promote multimedia projects for the Office of the President
- Collaborate with PETA’s social media team to ensure proper promotion of all content
- Assist with tracking and analyzing website traffic via Google Analytics, Brightedge, and any other necessary tools
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor
Requirements
- College degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum one year of experience with project management
- Ability to multi-task and coordinate multiple projects at once
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to work well under pressure and within tight deadlines
- Excellent working knowledge of the Internet

The hourly pay range for this position is $17.40 – $21.36 per hour. The ultimate hourly pay within this range that will be offered to a qualified candidate will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and the cost of living in the area in which the candidate will live and work.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create, execute and manage impactful marketing strategies and tactical plans for Quest face-to-face and digital conferences, including:
- Organic social and paid digital campaigns
- Event website messaging & development
- Email campaigns for speakers, registration and event attendees
- Partner marketing campaigns
- Serve as the Marketing lead for internal event planning, working cross-functionally to develop event positioning, communications and customer experience. Responsible for the delivery of marketing-assigned tasks within the event project structure.
- Build and execute dynamic automated email campaigns. Specific related tasks include:
- Campaign set-up
- Segment set-up
- Email builds
- Copy development
- Campaign performance & improvement
- Develop and manage Quest’s community-specific social presence across multiple platforms (including LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, etc.), looking for new and different ways to engage and grow the community digitally
- Manage and execute monthly community-specific newsletters, including the development of new promotional plans to incent and increase subscription
- Serve as key community-specific liaison to the education and customer engagement teams, working side by side to plan campaigns that maximize:
- Community membership, including demographics completion, renewals, retention, increasing corporate member licenses and onboarding new customers;
- Community engagement in F2F and digital events; SIG meetings, etc.
- The reach of both existing and new community content (webinars, white papers, articles, blogs, newsletters, events, videos, etc.).
- Monitor and report metrics for these campaigns.
- Work with the vendor relations team to build the Quest partner community, developing co-marketing plans that encourage partners to bring their customers to Quest events and membership.
- Serve as the marketing liaison to Oracle product teams for cross-promotion of Quest events and activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in marketing or related field) and 5-7 years related professional experience.
- Highly motivated individual with exceptional written & oral communication skills
- Willingness to get hands-on with marketing platforms (such as email, social media, etc) to build and monitor campaigns and identify new tools and opportunities for campaign improvements
- Proven ability to prioritize responsibilities and multiple projects, work independently and with a team, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience with automated email platforms such as Eloqua, Constant Contact, MailChimp preferred
- Prior experience with digital advertising platforms, including campaign set-up & management would be a plus (Linked In, Facebook, Twitter, etc.)

We are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Communications Specialist to support the Maximizing Options to Advance Informed Choice for HIV Prevention (MOSAIC) project. MOSAIC is a five-year (2021-2026) global project funded by the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) to help adolescent girls and young women and other women protect themselves from HIV by accelerating introduction and scale-up of new biomedical prevention products.
Job Summary
Working closely with the MOSAIC Research Utilization (RU) and Knowledge Management (KM) team, this role combines strong visual and multimedia design skills with excellent writing and editing skills to create compelling, audience-appropriate print and digital content. In an increasingly information-saturated world, this combined skillset is essential to “cut through the noise” and support the uptake of evidence and learning in HIV prevention policy, program planning, and implementation.
We are looking for a creative individual who is passionate about using their design and storytelling skills to translate complex information into clear, accessible, and engaging visual and written products for a range of audiences from researchers and policymakers to providers and end users. This role reports to the Director of RU/KM and works closely with the RU/KM team to facilitate knowledge exchange among a range of stakeholders, document and disseminate evidence and learning, and promote the uptake of key knowledge and communication products.
Accountabilities:
- Design branded assets and ensure that the overall quality and consistency of the brand identity is maintained across the MOSAIC project
- In collaboration with researchers, technical experts, and other project staff, write and review compelling knowledge and communication products and stories (e.g. email newsletters and announcements, fact sheets, blog posts, success stories, vignettes, scripts), ensuring that content is relevant to and appropriate for the audience; the message is clear; the voice is consistent; and the grammar, punctuation, and spelling comply with the project editorial guide
- Design and layout accessible and attractive knowledge and communication products (e.g. briefs, reports, slide decks, email newsletters, conference abstracts and posters)
- Create visual and multimedia content for a range of diverse needs (e.g. branded assets, social media and blog assets, infographics, data visualization, content for training and toolkits)
- Manage the content production and review schedule and liaise with other science writers, editors, and designers as needed to ensure quality and smooth production from start to finish
- Support dissemination of knowledge products through a variety of communications channels
- Keep abreast of the latest principles, developments, and trends in design and storytelling for social impact, RU, and KM

Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree or its international equivalent in graphic design, multimedia design, communications, journalism, publishing, or related field.
Experience:
