Data Engineer, Healthcare Pricing

The Role
We are looking for a Healthcare Pricing Data Engineer. Turquoise is built upon the pricing data we aggregate, making this role critical to our success. You will combine raw information from various sources to create a pristine data pipeline into our pricing analytics warehouse. Healthcare affects all people differently, but it significantly affects those in underserved communities. With a robust, diverse team, we are stronger and better equipped to change the future of healthcare for all.
In this role, you will:
- Build solutions for ingesting large amounts of healthcare payments data – claims, contract rates and demographics data, to name a few.
- Write and modify data ingestion scripts in Python to convert raw pricing data into clean, standardized data.
- Explore and evaluate new data sources to incorporate into our product to improve our customer experience.
- Modify and continue to improve our data warehouse.
- Be a subject matter expert and internal thought leader for Turquoise Health’s price transparency, managed care rate benchmarking, and contract management data.
- Help guide the data product roadmap with leadership.

- Exposure to PostgreSQL databases and/or data warehousing products like Amazon Redshift.
Salary Range

Our salary ranges are determined by role and level, and reflect the minimum and maximum salary across all US locations (they are location agnostic). Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. We will talk about compensation in our first conversation and be transparent throughout the process about which level we think is the best match for you in our organization. Please note that the salary range does not reflect total compensation, which includes base salary, benefits, and company stock options.
