We are looking for a talented Senior User Experience Researcher to support the execution of qualitative and quantitative studies that will improve the user experience for ServiceTitan’s products focused on the commercial and new market space. This person will work closely with other researchers, designers, and product managers to support the delivery of insights about the user experience. The Senior User Experience Researcher needs to be innately curious, passionate about user research and testing of all types, and an organized and creative thinker eager to learn. They must also be open to exploring outside the box and innovative research and recruiting techniques to succeed as a member of our growing Experience Design team.
What you’ll do
- Conduct high-value generative and evaluative research on high-profile product initiatives

- Lead field research initiatives in the Glendale CA area
- Become an expert on people and problems relevant to specific product domain areas
- Generate actionable insights on people and problems relevant to specific product domain areas
- Measure how well the product area meets user needs and uses data to influence product features, functions, and design priorities.
- Facilitates knowledge of problem space within their product area
- Prioritizes research questions aligning with product team/ area goals, focusing on the most impactful research.
- Triangulate insights from multiple sources to influence the overall vision and roadmap for a product area.

- Mentor other UX Researchers as they execute the research strategy
- Partner with Product Designers and other team members to coach and support the planning, execution, and analysis of usability studies, both with customers through on-site (when available) or remote sessions and with internal subject matter experts, including scheduling, hardware, and software, etc.
- Work with internal recruitment channels, identify recruiting requirements, write screeners, and work closely with recruiting partners across various departments to obtain appropriate users for usability studies.
- Establish processes for integrating research into Product and Design decisions and how UX research interacts with Product Design, Product Management, Service Design, and other teams.
What you’ll need
- 5-8 years of demonstrated experience collaborating on new products or features from conception to launch
- 5-8 years of demonstrated experience conducting field research
- Demonstrated experience in working with Jobs to be Done frameworks
- 5-8 years of demonstrated experience working on B2B in the SaaS or enterprise space.
- Demonstrated experience leading strategic research that results in high-impact product roadmap decisions
- Expert understanding of research methodologies and the ability to select the best method for a given task
- A strong portfolio of research deliverables that align with business objectives and deliver actionable insights that directly impact decision making
- Experience collaborating effectively across functions and teams
- Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Design, Sociology, Psychology, Anthropology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience

Toptal is looking for a Senior UX Writer to join our Growth Product team. This person will be responsible for developing impactful, conversion-focused copy for all Toptal products and platforms.
Successful hires will be extremely well versed in UX writing best practices, SEO best practices, in product conversion principles, experienced in writing world-class product content geared for growth, and have the ability to achieve this while maintaining the brand voice and natural communication across all platforms.
In this role, you will work cross-functionally with a team of Growth Product Managers, Product Designers, Engineers, and Marketing Strategists to strategically communicate Toptal’s narrative and drive action.

Responsibilities:
- Help lead Toptal’s growth product content strategy across Toptal’s public site.
- Continuously elevate the quality of product copy, making sure it is backed by credible facts, conveys clarity of thought, and is compelling and action-inducing for an intelligent, driven audience in alignment with Google’s E-A-T (expertise, authoritativeness, trustworthiness) guidelines.

The US-based salary range for this full-time position is $90,000 – $140,000 per year. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
