The success and effectiveness of our engineering teams is the most critical factor in delighting our members with Maven. As a Lead Product Manager on the Core Platform and Services team, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex developer infrastructure and services projects from start to finish. You’ll work with a team of engineers, define requirements, set up user stories, problem solve, drive execution and delivery. In addition, using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you’ll manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes and driving the technical directions of your programs.

In this role, you will:

  • Work directly with a team of engineers to deliver developer infrastructure and services that increase developer velocity
  • Partner with Product and Engineering leads to define the scope, execution strategy, roadmap, launch schedule, success metrics, resources, timelines, work-streams, and deliverables for new cross-organization initiatives
  • Drive execution: track and maintain activities, tasks, and milestones through development and delivery; identify and mitigate risks, unblock issues, increase engineering velocity, ensure strong focus on releases and launches, and drive accountability
  • Lead a diverse set of projects, such as constructing a role-based access service, building an internal developer platform that powers a microservice architecture for organization-wide utilization, and proactively designing products that address GDPR implications and external regulatory compliance all while driving quality improvements across the entire organization.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 7+ years of experience in program management
  • 2+ years experience in Software Engineering, Software Infrastructure Engineering or Security

For candidates in NYC, CA or CO, the salary range for this role is $165,000 – $245,000 per year. You may also be entitled to receive stock options, and benefits. Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, and skillset.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead product development process, working closely with product design to ensure desirability while ensuring both a viable and feasible product to build.
  • Define detailed, data-driven requirements and user stories; work directly with Engineering, Data Science, and other cross-functional teams to execute on the Product roadmap and bring your ideas to life.
  • Align stakeholders, set the product vision and roadmap, prioritize features, build consensus, and coordinate product schedules with business and delivery teams to ship high-quality experiences.
  • Operate as the day-to-day, sprint-to-sprint owner for products in our data organization.
  • Define and set product KPI goals to measure the product and business success of the features you create.

What We’re Looking For

  • At least 3 years of experience in product development, product management or related field
  • Passionate about data platforms and technologies
  • Working knowledge of data and analytics ecosystems
  • You think out of the box to solve complex problems. You make more hypotheses than assumptions and test cheaply to prove or disprove the hypotheses.
  • Experience with common product development tools and concepts (i.e., wire framing, prototyping, A/B testing and agile development methods)
  • You have great communication skills and are able to sell your position to all levels of stakeholders
  • You want to be accountable for the customer and the business.
  • Bonus: experience in the health and wellness space.

Summary:

As a Student Safety Analyst, you play a vital role in reviewing online activity recognized and “flagged” by our technology as potentially harmful to students. You will decide whether this “flagged” online activity is harmful or dangerous and act accordingly to alert the student safety team. This role requires schedule flexibility. Primary Job Responsibility

  • You will report to the Director of student safety and support our student safety Artificial Intelligence suite of features by reviewing potentially harmful online activity.
  • You play a critical role in identifying potentially harmful online activity and manage communication protocols and processes with our Student Safety Group to help promote wellbeing and safety or proactively prevent harmful measures.
  • Actively manage your online queue for alerts that need attention and enter into communication with school districts via email or phone.

  • Assist with the development and execution of influencer marketing strategies and social media campaigns for the company’s B2B tech products, services, and events.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure consistency in messaging and branding across all channels, as well as optimization for user experience across channels.
  • Stay up-to-date with social media trends and best practices to continually improve the company’s social media presence
  • Launch new social media accounts as needed (i.e. TikTok)
  • Other responsibilities as needed.

What you bring to the team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in social media management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write engaging and effective social media content
