We are looking for a skilled Senior Technical Artist with a strong passion for collaborating with artists and developers to refine the pipelines and techniques that will deliver our AAA vision.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop custom workflows using scripts and coded tool solutions in support of the character and asset teams.
  • Maintain the integrity of art pipelines by identifying inefficiencies then recommending and implementing improvements.
  • Facilitate technical art communication across teams by providing clear and constructive feedback and mentorship.
  • Collaborate with a diverse and distributed team to promote innovation and refine the visual quality of our games
  • Align artists around technical standards for asset creation.
  • Troubleshoot and help resolve challenges through technical solutions.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge in character pipelines and workflows.
  • Experience working with physically-based material systems, and advanced rendering techniques.
  • Knowledge of modular asset pipelines.
  • A strong background in driving optimization and performance while understanding limitations of various platforms.
  • Desire and knowledge of how to push technology and tools further.
  • Experience developing in a AAA real-time game engine.
  • Scripting experience in Python, C#, Blueprint or other.

About the Position

Assurance’s Core Team owns the foundation of the Assurance application stack.

This position is responsible for the availability, performance and efficiency of all Assurance services, and work in close collaboration with all engineering teams to create a reliable and easy-to-use AWS infrastructure for application services. The ideal candidate has a good understanding of modern cloud-based architecture, and practical experience defining infrastructure in the fast-pacing environment. About the team and role

The Frontend engineers at Scribd are building cutting edge web applications that are used by 100M+ monthly unique visitors and drive the majority of the revenue growth for Scribd. We are doing that while modernizing our tech stack and improving our user experience. The charter for this team includes most of the customer facing web apps such as onboarding, consumption, account management, and SEO.

We carefully deliver new features via experiments, also known as A/B tests, giving developers a safe path to validate improvements at our tremendous scale. Going forward, we are going to increase the number, velocity, and diversity of our experiments; To accommodate these new and different experiments, our codebase must be nimble, cohesive and easy to deploy. We strongly believe in building a solid infrastructure to help our product vision and maintain the health of the code base. We are working on moving our architecture to Next.js based React SPAs that are independently deployed, talking to a new GraphQL API, while building the tooling for a modern developer experience.   • Provide security guidance to Cloud Engineering teams encompassing perimeter, misconfigurations, asset visibility, policies, container, patching cadence, and vulnerability scanning. Partner with cloud architecture, engineering and application development teams to establish and maintain comprehensive visibility into potential risk events across a large scale cloud environment.

Requirements
