The Senior Systems Engineer role requires strong, demonstrable hands-on knowledge and experience assessing, designing, configuring and implementing, supporting, and troubleshooting all systems aspects of enterprise-level infrastructure, including but not limited to: systems, security, cloud, scripting, virtualization, and storage technologies.

Responsibilities
- Plan, design, assess, implement, monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain the operational health of the highly available higher education infrastructure.
- Develop scalable and maintainable solutions that meet business requirements.
- Provide a higher level of escalation support to systems and help desk staff.
- Install, configure, and support systems from a wide range of industry-leading vendors and technologies, including but not limited toAzure, AWS, Microsoft, VMware, IDM/IAM, and Linux.
- Interface with multiple departments as the subject matter expert resource to assess, recommend, project plan, and implement technology solutions in support of business initiatives.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to system and application performance and availability, network connectivity, and security.
- Proactively monitor and report on overall technology service performance and take action to correct deficiencies in monitoring and controlling the quality of individual system services.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including systems integrations, diagrams, operational procedures, knowledge base documents, disaster recovery plans, and training documentation.
- Work collaboratively with clients, vendors, and other team members to ensure project success.
Accountabilities
- VMware configuration, ability to create new virtual machines, manage ESXi clusters and troubleshoot
- Solid understanding of enterprise-grade storage solutions such as, EMC, NetApp, Nimble, HP Lefthand, Dell EqualLogic, VXRail, Compellent, Hyperconverged, etc.
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Server operating systems, Linux operating systems, and scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, etc.)
- Must be detailed-oriented and demonstrate excellent organizational skills
- Demonstrate a customer service-oriented attitude, work well under pressure, and possess excellent oral and written communication skills
- Be able to design and scope technical solutions that meet client’s requirements and expectations
- Must have the ability to create precise and accurate documentation
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds during installations or configurations.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Bachelor‘s degree in a technical discipline or 4 years or more of experience.
- Experience working in a higher education or large enterprise environment(s)
- 3-5years of systems engineering experience
- Experience with VMware/vCenter, Hyper-V, and enterprise storage

- Experience providing service in accordance with SLAs

Tier 1 Customer Support Agent
(Remote- US Based)
JOB SUMMARY:
The Tier 1 Customer Support Agent is responsible for providing front-line support to customers via email, chat, and phone. Their primary focus is to address common customer issues and provide “how-to” support for product usage questions. They are responsible for resolving product or service problems by clarifying the customer’s questions and explaining the best solution to solve a problem while maintaining established Service Level Objectives. The Tier 1 agent is also responsible for identifying product problems and requests that require additional expertise or advanced troubleshooting and escalating those to the Tier 2 team after initial triage and collecting basic information.
A strong performer in this role will demonstrate a high sense of urgency in responding quickly and effectively to customer requests, the ability to promptly identify items that should be escalated, and a continuous desire to learn about Gingr and its customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receive and respond to customer inquiries received via email, chat, and phone
- Classify inquiries based on severity and priority
- Investigate and/or resolve inquiries according to knowledge base articles and other reference materials
- Escalate issues requiring additional expertise, investigation, or troubleshooting to the Tier 2 team
- Accept and retain ownership of requests, providing timely updates to customers until a resolution is reached or an escalation is needed
- Participate in providing support coverage on recognized holidays 2-3 times per year
- Assist with backup coverage for Tier 2 as needed, handling customer inquiries that are escalated by the Tier 1 Support team
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively interact with internal teams, partners, and customers
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment
- Self-motivated to gain basic proficiency with new technologies such as Zendesk, slack, teams, Hubspot
- Ability to work independently or work in small teams

REQUIREMENTS:
