We are a small but mighty team of ~45 professional across our UK and US bases currently in growth phase. We have an ambitious five-year growth plan, expanding our core strategy by going beyond our current tech enabled services by expanding our offering to SaaS while leveraging our data to help our clients better plan and design their research and patient engagement.
Currently, the product team is made up of two Senior Product Managers and one Product Designer who report into the Chief Development Officer. We are establishing a new layer within the senior leadership team by recruiting our very first Head of Product to join us and help advance the maturation of the product team.
This role is currently fully remote and can be based in either the UK or the US (preference will be given to candidates on the Eastern time zone)
Requirements
You will be responsible for defining, creating, and championing a growing product-centric function by supporting and inspiring our product team while simultaneously driving collaboration and synergy with the Engineering team.
You will work closely with our CDO who heads up the Product function, in defining and driving the product implementation strategy to support the achievement of the overall business objectives.
Day to day as a Head of Product you will actively participate in program level backlog refinement, resource planning and quarterly delivery commitment through to release planning. In addition, you’ll work closely with the Head of Engineer for overall product/engineering roadmap, trade-offs and process improvement. By partnering with the Head of Engineering you will work to understand architectural epics and coordination between the business needs and technical implementation.
The Head of Product will work closely with much of the company leaders, from product and engineering to commercial operations and marketing.
What we need from you
- First and foremost, you will be an experienced product professional who has experience leading product strategy for business-to-business and business-to-consumer products. You will be able to discuss in the interview your experience working across the product development lifecycle including prioritisation, road mapping etc.
- You have previous experience leading a team of minimum five people. You will be able to discuss in the interview process how you have taken ownership of performance related activities including implementing and creating robust metrics and procedures to empower and develop the team.
- You will have good knowledge of Agile Software Development and demonstrable experience collaborating with engineering teams to ensure wider product strategy is accurately and effectively communicated to the team and driven.
- You will have experience and understand how to help drive change in an organisation. You will be able to discuss in the interview how you have handled resistance to change.
- Lastly, strong communication skills are key. At the interview we will want to hear about times you have managed and supported difficult stakeholders.

About the Role
We’re looking for a Technical Support Engineer to help us make CockroachDB easy for our customers and open source users. This person will work remotely in the US. We are looking for a candidate based remotely in the UK.
You Will
- Provide extraordinary service for both our open source users and Enterprise customers across our various support channels: chat, forum, Github, and phone.
- Develop deep technical expertise in CRDB and accompanying technologies.

The Expectations

Position Description:
Senior Security Analysts aid in the monitoring of client intrusion detection devices, web application firewalls and log management devices in an around-the-clock, year-round monitoring operations environment. Senior Security Analysts are responsible for monitoring resources and assigning resources in near real time to address the needs of the operations team to meet SOC goals and SLA’s. Senior Security Analysts have the responsibility of maintaining a thorough understanding of the complete day-to-day process and procedures of the SOC. These individuals have vast technical expertise and wide experience in security operations and security incidents. They have a well-rounded security background and are responsible for day-today operations and escalation procedures which facilitate extensive investigation and analysis of security events and incident escalations within the SOC.
Senior Security Analysts will perform log analysis, conduct initial research using intelligence about various threats, and document whether a discovered event points to a true attack. They will ensure annotation and documentation is provided for any discovery of misconfiguration of a security device, false positive events, events needing additional monitoring attention or research, or a confirmed intrusion. After initial research, Senior Security Analysts will document an event for further analysis, determine the proper priority of the event and explanation of correlated events, and provide documentation to leadership. Throughout the shift, Senior Security Analysts continue researching events, notifying necessary constituents, clients, and other departments and teams, report the events, and perform forensic analysis within business services in conjunction with daily SOC operations.
Successful Senior Security Analysts are able to mentor and lead by example. Senior Security Analysts must also serve as security advocates to the business and clients. Senior Security Analysts need to maintain in-depth information on security incidents as they occur within the business and throughout out the industry to provide the proper investigation, analysis, and protective measures within the organization. This position will include the flexibility of shift rotations to meet the needs of operations.

Accurately and in detail, record pertinent information from the shift in the shift logs to ensure no information gaps occur at shift change.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized university with specialization in Computer Sciences or a related discipline and/or a minimum of three to five (3 – 5) years of directly related practical experience and demonstrated ability to carry out the functions of the job.

How You’ll Make an Impact
The Data Scientist is responsible for working with the business analytics team, marketing and senior leadership to better understand consumer behaviors and trends impacting the Retail Services business. Team member owns and provides strategic oversight for retail pricing and is key contact for marketing initiatives, providing analysis of returns. In the role, you would be responsible for:
- Driving continuous improvement in business processes (e.g. marketing attribution, forecasting, customer segmentation, CRM and promotional effectiveness, pricing, etc.) through analytics; developing insightful and condensed visualizations out of complicated analytics and providing actionable recommendations for various business teams.
