About the role

As a Senior Python Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining robust and scalable Python applications within the Teramind platform. You will work closely with a cross-functional team to design and implement new features, improve existing functionality, and optimize performance.

Position Overview:

The Growth team develops intuitive, secure and engaging growth marketing experiences that streamline user integration and promote sustained engagement with our healthcare startups services. We create on-boarding processes and growth marketing strategies that are tailored to the needs and behavior of our customers while continuously measuring and improving the user experience and ensuring our users data security and privacy.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of entire sections of the frontend.
  • Refine the end-user experience within the onboarding and customer-facing applications.
  • Create A/B tests to improve conversion rates of acquiring new customers.
  • Foster a partnership between product, marketing, and engineering.
  • Proactively test feature components to ensure their stability upon release.
  • Execute full lifecycle software development in a hands-on role working with the original team of frontend and backend developers.
  • Craft an environment that enhances overall performance improvement while embedded in the heart of conversion flow to ensure this funnel is as efficient as possible.

You will likely have:

  • 6+ years of experience building successful production software systems.
  • Technical Strength areas: Typescript, JavaScript, Material UI or similar, NodeJS, React, GraphQL or Rest APIs. Unit testing with Jest, Vitest, Mocha, or other similar tools.
  • Experience with analytics tools (Heap/GTM) and A/B testing tools (Kameleoon, Launch Darkly) to make data-driven decisions to improve the front-end experience.
  • A background focused on performance improvement working closely with customer-facing and product growth teams.
  • Experience creating an onboarding/check out application that delights customers.
  • A customer-first mindset building complex software systems from 0-1.
  • Proven ability to create meaningful partnerships between product, marketing, and customer experience teams.
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Passion for development and ability to dig into solving problems.
  • Nice to have: Experience working with Datadog or other robust monitoring systems (Sentry, New Relic, Rollbar). Integration experience with iterable, heap, hubspot, etc.

In the Platform team, we are solving some of the hardest cloud challenges today. We provide the underlying system that ingests tens of petabytes of video from hundreds of thousands of officers around the world. We ensure that these videos are uploaded accurately, stored safely and permanently, and with audit-logging to track chain of custody and use. We also handle a growing set of other types of evidence: audio, photographs, sensor streams, you name it. We are one of the worlds largest customers of Blob storage.

  • 5+ years of experience in a quality engineering function
  • Strong technical understanding of embedded + distributed systems

  • Proven abilities for effective low-level troubleshooting and root-cause analysis
  • Experience building and/or working with automated testing frameworks
