ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Juul Labs is seeking a Director, RGM Portfolio and Promotions to be responsible for leading the promotion strategy built around a comprehensive brand portfolio. The Director, RGM Portfolio and Promotions oversees the management of the price pack architecture in the brand portfolio as well as managing the total promotional spend for the US market.
The Director, RGM Portfolio and Promotions sets and monitors KPIs for RGM initiatives, utilizes pricing elasticities across geographies and customers to optimize promotional spend, leads the competitor analytics, and works closely with other functions within the RGM, Commercial, and Trade teams to provide guidance on strategy and execution.
The Director, RGM Portfolio and Promotions is a key member of the Commercial Leadership Team and will have the opportunity to present to and engage with the Executive Leadership Team. The Director, RGM Portfolio and Promotions will have a strong understanding of the distribution and retail of CPG products, preferably in the nicotine category, coupled with the ability to model pricing and promotion data from syndicated and scan sources. Must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate with cross functional team, and deliver against tight deadlines.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify contestable spaces that fill unmet needs of adult nicotine consumers and build an optimal portfolio configuration (price/pack architecture) to cater to them
- Use price elasticities and promotion responsiveness across retailers and geographies, optimize the promotional spend for the US market
- Manage the annual US promotional budget in alignment with the Finance team and as outlined in the AOP
- Drive, test and learn initiatives within the regulatory framework to facilitate the transition of adult nicotine users from cigarettes to Juul
- Informing business decisions at both an operational, and strategic level
- Working very closely with the Finance and Trade team to ensure optimal planning and flawless execution of promotions
- Collaborating with the Project, Supply, Manufacturing, and Regulatory teams to tailor the Juul product portfolio
- Building out dashboards/trackers and responding to ad-hoc queries from RGM and Commercial leadership
- Identifying best practices for promotion execution
- Analyzing & optimizing the implementation of price & promotion strategy
- Building volume projections derived from the impact of price/promotional strategies
- Identifying market disruptions opportunities & opportunities from regulatory enforcements to guide RGM initiatives
PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- 6-8 years of relevant experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong prioritization skills in managing multiple demanding projects
- Strong communication skills across cross-functional teams
- Capacity to clearly communicate compelling data-driven messages and stories
- Ability to distill insights into strategy and actionable recommendations
- High level of proficiency in Tableau, Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with IRI, Nielsen, BI tools (i.e. Tableau, Microsoft BI) preferred

**Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:**
+ Defines measurement strategy for the company to support operational needs as well as strategic and growth initiatives.
+ Establishes targets based on continuous improvement of historical performance levels and benchmarking to identify necessary levels of performance to achieve industry leading operational performance.
